TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's Thursday!

Much like we anticipated...yesterday even though we had sun, the winds were so high again making the day so much cooler. NO rain yesterday.

Similarly, NO rain overnight. Currently this morning as of 8 a.m., we have cloudy overcast skies and NO sun thus far today. We are expecting much cooler temperatures today (highs in the upper 40's to 50 degrees at the most), but due to the wind, it is going to feel a lot colder yet again today. We have received NO rain thus far today. So even though this week has been windy and cold, we're expecting a warm-up to start tomorrow so we'll have 60+ degree temperatures just in time for Saturday and Sunday.

Final update for the day as of 6:30 p.m....we ended up having sun today, but it still remained cold and windy. NO rain.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Morning!

Overnight NO rain! Currently this morning as of 7:30 a.m., we have partly sunny skies already and temperatures around 30 degrees. Chilly at the moment, but expecting temperatures to reach the middle 50's again today. However, due to the high winds, it may still feel a lot cooler. We have received NO rain thus far today.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Tuesday!

Overnight, again NO rain. Now people can understand why we are under a burn ban...we never seem to receive any moisture in our area, making for some really dry conditions. Currently this morning as of 8 a.m., it is cloudy and overcast again with NO sun. Looks like it is going to be a pleasant day with nice temperatures, but appears that it will be on the windy side yet again today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

Final update for the day as of 8:35 p.m...cold and extremely windy today. The wind was unbelievable today. We had NO rain today.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Another Monday...Another Week!

Yesterday turned out to be absolutely great weather...a little on the windy side, but other than that, perfect temperatures for January!

Overnight we received NO rain. Currently this morning as of 8:35 a.m., we have cloudy, overcast skies and temperatures already in the low 50's. The sun is not out yet, but we are expecting warm temperatures today, possibly getting up to 70 degrees. We have received NO rain thus far today. Should be a really nice day, other than the fact, that it may be on the windy side yet again today.

Final update for the evening as of 5:20 p.m...well even though today temperatures reached the 60's, it didn't get as warm as anticipated & didn't feel as warm mainly due to the wind. NO rain.

Hope Everyone's Week Is Off To A Great Start!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Saturday Morning!

Overnight NO rain. Currently this morning as of 9:05 a.m., if you are about to head out to the park this morning, you will encounter very foggy conditions. It is currently cloudy and overcast with NO sun. We have received NO rain thus far today. There is a chill in the air this morning, but nothing too bad, and already we can tell that we can expect a much warmer day today luckily...should be PERFECT for riding! If you are looking for a comprehensive report on park trail conditions, please refer to yesterday's (Friday's) blog.

Final update for the evening as of 6:15 p.m....AWESOME day at RRMT, Inc. today! Excellent weather...sunny skies & great temperatures. NO rain. Due to the little moisture we did get this past week with the mist/drizzle, riding today was PERFECT due to the soil and traction. If you didn't make it out to Bulcher today, you missed out! But luckily there is still tomorrow to get some riding in before the weekend is over.

We are OPEN this weekend both today, Saturday, January 26 and tomorrow, Sunday, January 27 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

Hope Everyone's Weekend Is Off To A Great Start!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday!

Surprisingly...all we received overnight was on and off mist, nothing measurable enough to report in the rain gauge. Currently this morning as of 10:30 a.m., we have cloudy, overcast skies, and it's been drizzling rain thus far this morning. The temperature is approximately 34 degrees in Bulcher this morning. Very cold! Another typical dreary winter day. The moisture we have been receiving even though it’s not much, just drizzle, is much needed and will help settle the dust we have been having at the park as a result of the very dry conditions.

Despite a dreary day today, hard to believe, but the outlook on the weekend looks bright...it is Texas...wait 5 minutes and the weather changes luckily. So in light of the bright weekend forecast, let's get the weekend started!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- Mist/Drizzle Thru The Night
* Friday-- Mist/Drizzle Thus Far as of 10:30 a.m. (but no measurable amount can be reported)

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions...

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. (Except per our 1/17/08 park news announcement, Bill's Woods & the New Property are closed.)Per our rain gauge report, it's been a dry week up until the last part of the week...the mist/drizzle of rain has finally brought us some much needed moisture. Despite the little moisture we have received, our area still remains on the dry side. Currently due to the recent moisture, dust is not anticipated. But by Sunday, our soil will have soaked up the moisture, and the dust may start flying by then. But since we are still on the dry side, we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails.

RED RIVER
The Red River is bank to bank in some places, but then very narrow in other places, which has allowed the water to be split which has created various sandbars. The amount of water that the river has pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek (where it joins the Red River) has now pretty much receded (since we've been so dry). However, due to the recent dreary, damp conditions we have been having lately, the end of the creek is starting to become a little swampier with quicksand. So please be advised that you need to be careful to avoid any quicksand because getting stuck is always a possibility particularly currently as these damp conditions have seemed to move the quicksand around.

CREEK
The amount of water being pushed up into Mountain Creek is extremely minimal at this time. As always, it is advised that you be on the lookout for occasional spots of quicksand to avoid getting stuck particularly due to our damp, cold conditions this past week which has allowed the end of the creek's sand to get somewhat sloppy. Riders will find that they can ride in the creek the entire way to the river currently. Similarly, since riders can ride in the creek the entire way to the river, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

It's been a cold, damp week...hopefully today concludes the last day of winter....Texas weather changes fast...don't miss out...get rid of the "Winter Blues" that this week brought and get out to RRMT, Inc. for some fabulous weather this weekend. We are expecting temperatures in the 60's for both Saturday and Sunday!

Final update for the evening as of 8:50 p.m., NO rain today...just cold.

We will be OPEN this weekend both tomorrow, Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

P.S. Be sure to set the TIVO at the house before leaving for the weekend....Red Bull LMS airs on NBC's Jeep World of Adventure Sports on Sunday, January 27...check listings for local channel and time. TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

BURRRRR ON THIS THURSDAY MORNING!

Overnight NO precipitation. Currently this morning as of 8:45 a.m., we have clear, believe it or not, sunny skies, and very chilly temperatures (approximately 25 degrees). It looks like it is actually going to be a nice day, except for the fact that it is just going to be so unbelievably cold. Typical winter day, but luckily the sun is out. We have received NO rain thus far today.

We will be watching the weather and bringing you another update this evening as well as our usual comprehensive update tomorrow, on Friday just in time to get you ready for the weekend and the big warm-up!

NO rain overnight. Currently this morning as of 9:15 a.m., we have cloudy and overcast skies. NO sun or rain thus far today. Just a very cold day...expecting the high temperature for the day to be around the middle 40's. So staying in, staying warm, and resting up would be a good plan. We are anticipating all this winter weather to clear out by Friday afternoon and are expecting much nicer temperatures for the upcoming weekend. We might even get a few sprinkles this weekend, which would be great in helping settle the dust. But as the weekend gets closer, we'll keep you posted.

Final update for the evening as of 4:45 p.m....another dreary winter day complete with cloudy overcast skies, NO sun, and NO rain. VERY COLD!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's Monday Already!

Overnight NO rain, which should come as no surprise. Currently this morning as of 7:30 a.m., it is cloudy and dreary outside. NO sun in sight. It was somewhat warmer overnight, luckily not getting as cold and approximately this morning the temperature gauge is almost to 40 degrees. It might warm up a little more, but we are expecting a colder day today than yesterday, but we'll just have to wait and see. We have received NO rain thus far today.

We realize that many of you have today off as a holiday...We welcome members & their guests to make their appointments for riding today with our park office.

Final update for the day as of 4:15 p.m....well so much for the warm-up today. It was actually warmer this morning as we had temperatures around 41 to 42 degrees, and then throughout the day, the temperature actually fell...getting colder as the day went by. Overall, it was just a cloudy, overcast, and foggy day. NO sun. Throughout the day it did drizzle rain off and on, just enough to make it dreary. But NO measurable rain was received, but luckily it was some moisture, which helped out tremendously.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Saturday Morning To You...

Overnight...again no surprises...NO rain or any type of precipitation for that matter. Currently this morning as of 8:30 a.m., we have clear skies and the sun is breaking thru the clouds at this moment. Looks as though luckily the sun is going to come and help warm things up today...and we are definitely going to need it because it is approximately 19 degrees here this morning....BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! But again, hopefully things are on the way to warming up, but how warm, we're unsure of. We have received NO rain thus far today.

Final update for the evening as of 5:10 p.m...with the sun out today, it did warm up slightly, but not by much at all...only to approximately the low 40's. NO rain today.

We will be OPEN this weekend both today, Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday!

Finally The Weekend At Last...

Overnight NO rain. Currently this morning as of 8 a.m., we have cloudy skies, cold temperatures, and NO rain thus far today. It's gonna be a nice day at RRMT, Inc. but cold. Luckily right now it is still and we have no wind. While the outlook on the weekend still looks good, it looks as though we may have a little colder temperatures than originally expected. But then again, it's Texas...wait 5 minutes and the weather forecast will change anyways.

Don't know why we even bother bringing you the rain recap...we've forgotten what rain is since we haven't had any in forever!
RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 8:00 a.m.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions...

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. (Except per our 1/17/08 park news announcement, Bill's Woods & the New Property are closed.)From our rain gauge report, it is easy to conclude...NO rain again this week, making it five consecutive weeks without any moisture. As a result, we really need the rain, as it is getting extremely dry up in our area. Dust is definitely to be anticipated. Furthermore, as a result of our dry conditions, we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails.

RED RIVER
Without any rain, the Red River has pretty much been staying the same...The Red River is bank to bank in some places, but then very narrow in other places, which has allowed the water to be split which has created various sandbars. The amount of water that the river has pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek (where it joins the Red River) has now pretty much receded (since we've been so dry), and at this time, really minimal and of no concern. However, it is still advised that you be careful to avoid any quicksand because getting stuck is always a possibility.

CREEK
The amount of water being pushed up into Mountain Creek is extremely minimal at this time. As always, it is advised that you be on the lookout for occasional spots of quicksand to avoid getting stuck, but really no problems there at the mouth of the creek are to be anticipated. Riders will find that they can ride in the creek the entire way to the river currently. Similarly, since riders can ride in the creek the entire way to the river, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

In summary....finally time for the weekend. Time to get a little R & R at Red River! Right now, Saturday is looking a little colder than Sunday, but nevertheless both days we are anticipating clear, pleasant riding conditions.

Hope Everyone's Friday Is Off To A Great Start!

Final update for the evening as of 5:35 p.m., a really nice day at RRMT, Inc. today. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice temperatures...sunny skies and NO wind allowed temperatures to feel really great reaching approximately 50 degrees. NO rain today. Hopefully the weather will be like this throughout tomorrow & Sunday...if so, we're in for some great riding weather!

We will be OPEN this weekend both tomorrow, Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Thursday Morning To You...

Before we get to weather/trail conditions today, we wanted to be sure to make an announcement on our blog regarding something we announced on our website this morning. We know that some people only read this blog throughout the week and never look at any other parts of our website, so in light of that, here is the announcement copied from our park news page...

Subject: Bill's Woods & New Property
"Over the past couple of weeks, we have been receiving various compliments as well as complaints regarding RRMT, Inc.'s opening of Bill’s Woods. First and foremost, Bill’s Woods is a motorcycle only property! No ifs, ands, or buts about it. It always has been and always will be. While we have had Bill’s Woods open the past couple of weekends since the first of the year, many motorcycle riders have enjoyed riding in there & we appreciate your compliments on allowing you to do so. It is a very unique property and we enjoy being able to allow you to ride in there a few times a year as well as during special events. However, at the same time, while we have opened it for motorcycles exclusively, due to the only 1 current entrance into this property, ATVs have been getting in there. Thus, effective now, RRMT, Inc. has had to close off Bill’s Woods from everyone at this time until some long-term remedy can be reached. Our main goal is to preserve this particular property (due to its heavily wooded & tight terrain) for motorcycle riding only & in order to do this, we would appreciate everyone’s patience & understanding.

Similarly, the new property that RRMT, Inc. has recently acquired is also a motorcycle only property! Much like Bill’s Woods, it too is very unique & no ATVs will be allowed in there at any time. This property will be used for special motorcycle events (again due to its heavily wooded & tight terrain) only and then possibly also be open (at the discretion of park management) a couple of times a year for motorcycle riding only. But at this time, this property too is closed off until some long-term remedy can be reached to keep recreational vehicles beside motorcycles out of this unique property as well.

If you have any particular concerns, comments, or inquiries regarding this issue, they can be addressed to our park office staff. We appreciate everyone's input regarding this special and integral part of our trail system at RRMT, Inc."

Now onto weather...

Well yesterday you didn't miss anything...very cold at RRMT, Inc. No precipitation was received yesterday. We received NO rain overnight again. Currently this morning as of 9 a.m. it is cloudy and overcast and very very cold (middle 20's)...BURRRRRR! It did freeze overnight but no precipitation was received. If you can stand the cold, then riding may be okay today, but otherwise, you may just need to rest up for the upcoming weekend and the nicer weather and temperatures that are in store for us on Saturday and Sunday.

Final update for the day as of 4:15 p.m....sun finally came out today, but nevertheless, it was still very cold...NO rain!

Hope Everyone's Thursday Is Terrific....We're Getting Closer To The Weekend & Also, Only A Little Over A Week (January 27th) Until Red Bull LMS 2007 Airs On NBC's Jeep World Of Adventure Sports!

Cheers & Happy Trails!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Afternoon!

Again, our blog comes a little late today, our apologizes. However, we have much more information to bring you today just beyond our usual Friday comprehensive trail/weather report.

First and foremost, for all you avid Red Bull LMS followers...It's Official...Red Bull LMS 2007 will air January 27, 2008 on NBC's Jeep World of Adventure Sports, 4 p.m. CST. So you all will want to mark your calendars for that...it's a MUST SEE!

As a result, we (RRMT, Inc.) definitely want to be able to watch this incredible show....so at this time, the status of our park on Sunday, January 27th is TBD. We will definitely be OPEN on Saturday, January 26 with normal business hours. However, we may close the park on Sunday, January 27. An announcement about whether we will indeed close the park or keep it open on that Sunday will be made very soon. Thank you for your patience.

Furthermore, as of this morning, our events calendar on our website has now been updated for the entire year! But of course, there will be changes here and there as we go through the year. So for those of you planning vacations...we've got you covered!

One question we have been getting frequently (which is an excellent question so we felt like we should share it with everyone) via telephone and park email is "once I sign up for a membership, how long does it take for me to get my member goodies back to me?" The answer to this question is it generally takes anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. All your member goodies will be sent to you via your mailing address that you provided on your application. Please note that member applications are processed in the order they are received.

And finally one last reminder before we get to the weather...ONLY members & their guests may ride on weekdays. The only exception to this rule is for visitors who have been granted a special exception. In order to see if your exception will be granted (if you are a visitor), you must call or email the park office. Members wishing to make an appointment for weekday riding may call our park office or schedule their appointment online at our website.

Now onto trail/weather conditions...

Overnight we received NO rain. Currently this afternoon as of 1 p.m., we have clear, sunny skies, and awesome temperatures (in the 60's)! We have received NO rain thus far today & today is shaping up to be a perfect start to an upcoming weekend. The local news stations are predicting that we may see a few sprinkles of rain tomorrow, Saturday, but we haven't seen any measurable amount of rain in so long, that we're not even gonna believe it until we see it falling from the sky.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 1:00 p.m.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....(again, you’re gonna notice that not much has changed since last Friday’s report because we haven’t had any big changes in the weather)

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Per our rain gauge report...again, we have received absolutely NO rain this week. For those of you keeping up with it, that now makes a full month without any precipitation whatsoever. As a result, we really need the rain, as it is getting extremely dry up in our area. However, riding conditions are currently pleasant due to the nice temperatures, but dust is definitely a given. As a result of our dry conditions, we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails.

RED RIVER
Starting to sound like a broken record on this one, we know...not much has changed with the Red River since last Friday's recap...The Red River is bank to bank in some places, but then very narrow in other places, which has allowed the water to be split which has created various sandbars.

As this blog comes to an end, we are really excited about this upcoming weekend. The outlook on the weekend looks really GREAT...sunny skies...again they predict we'll get a few sprinkles but who knows...even if we did, it might end up making riding conditions even more AWESOME because we are so dry here...our soil will soak it up, making traction perfect and dust minimal...but we'll keep our fingers crossed on that one. Hope everyone has a great rest of their Friday...if you're looking for some of the BEST TRAILS in TEXAS...Bulcher is the place to be this weekend! See you then...

Final update for the evening as of 8 p.m....very nice day at the park today complete with sunny skies, great temperatures, and NO rain.

And finally, one last reminder...We will be OPEN this weekend both tomorrow, Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday Fellow Blog Readers…
Finally Another Weekend Upon Us!

Again, no surprise...NO rain overnight. Currently this morning as of 10:30 a.m., we have blue, cloudy, overcast skies and temperatures around 40 degrees. The sun hasn’t come out from out behind the clouds yet, but we’re expecting it to at least make an appearance sometime later day. We’re also expecting it to be warmer today than its been the past couple of days, but we’ll just have to see how warm it gets because thus far, we do have some wind today. We have had NO rain thus far today.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:30 a.m.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....(you’re gonna notice that not much has changed since last Friday’s report because we haven’t had any big changes in the weather)

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Per our rain gauge report...we have received absolutely NO rain this week. For those of you keeping up with it, that now makes 3 full weeks without any precipitation whatsoever. As a result, we really could use the rain, as it is getting extremely dry up in our area. Riding conditions are currently pleasant due to the nice temperatures, but dust can definitely be expected. As a result of our dry conditions, we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails.

RED RIVER
Again, not much has changed with the Red River since last Friday's recap...The Red River is bank to bank in some places, but then very narrow in other places, which has allowed the water to be split which has created various sandbars. The amount of water that the river has pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek (where it joins the Red River) has now pretty much receded, and at this time, really minimal and of no concern. However, it is still advised that you be careful to avoid any quicksand because getting stuck is always a possibility.

CREEK
The amount of water being pushed up into Mountain Creek is minimal at this time. It is advised that you be on the lookout for mud to avoid getting stuck, but really no problems there at the mouth of the creek are to be anticipated. Riders will find that they can ride in the creek the entire way to the river currently. Similarly, since riders can ride in the creek the entire way to the river, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

In summary, despite our dry conditions for another week again, riding at our park is pretty good. The forecast for this weekend looks incredible...temperatures in the low 70’s for Saturday and Sunday both! So don’t fool yourself by spending another weekend at home in the house, you better get out to Bulcher to take advantage of the incredible weather that we’re expecting. Because it is Texas….after this weekend, you never know what the weather could do...so you don’t want to waste a weekend without getting some riding/camping in. See you this weekend.

Final update for the evening as of 5:35 p.m....we had sun today luckily! It did warm up a little finally this afternoon when the wind calmed. Overall, it was a nice day at the park today with NO rain. Time to start the weekend!

We will be OPEN this weekend both tomorrow, Saturday, January 5 and Sunday, January 6 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend. If you would like to arrive today, Friday, please call our park office to schedule an appointment.

Final update for the evening as of 8 p.m...well today can be summed up by saying it was COLD. Luckily not as cold as yesterday, but still cold. NO rain today though. But as for the forecast, as crazy as it sounds we're expecting MUCH warmer (70's..yes, hard to believe for January in Texas)temperatuers for the upcoming weekend which we will get started tomorrow with our usual Friday comprehensive blog.
