TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Sunday...

Still NO rain here. This morning as of 8:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 56 degrees. The sun is already trying to make its way out from behind the clouds. It is a bit chilly outside at the current moment, but we are expecting it to warm up somewhat today...low 70's expected for highs today. It's the perfect day for some trail riding! We have received NO rain thus far today. If you are looking for a comprehensive report on park trail/weather conditions, please refer to Friday's blog.

Tips For Your Sunday Riding Plans...

* Trail riding is perfect! The rain we received this week has been soaked up by our soil & thus NO dust! However, do expect some lingering puddles in low lying/shaded areas.

* All trails are OPEN, EXCEPT for Bill's Woods & the New Property. (These 2 areas are closed due to TORO race prep) For curious minds wanting to know, these areas will open back up in November after the Toro race is over.

* Crossing Mountain Creek is possible, but we advise everyone to be extremely careful, due to lurking quicksand, especially the further you get down Mountain Creek toward the Red River.

* Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

* Just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride.

Reminder: RRMT, Inc. offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis. Reservations are recommended if you desire a particular RV Site. Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well. Please note that in addition to these rental sites, as usual, RRMT, Inc. also offers free other campsites that are always available via first come-first serve for your convenience.

NO BURN BAN for Cooke County or thus at RRMT, Inc.

RRMT, Inc. is OPEN today, Sunday October 25 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome Today! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

If you're planning to get some riding in...today is the time to do so...as RRMT, Inc. will close tomorrow...Monday, October 26 and be closed thru next Sunday, November 1 for a TORO Race. So get your fix of riding in today or you'll be forced to wait several weeks...

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Evening All...

Our apologies that this blog is later than usual. But as a result, since we are bringing you this blog so late, there won't be a blog for tomorrow (Sat.), but look for the blog to return on Sunday. No additional rain received thankfully. Today was a gorgeous day...awesome weather. If you weren't outside enjoying the weather today, you missed out! The forecast for tomorrow (Sat.) & Sunday looks awesome...sunny skies with temperatures in the low 70's. The weather is going to be great so you don't have any excuses...get out & ride this weekend. Enjoy your weekend comprehensive outlook report...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday (DAY & NIGHT)THRU Thursday (9:30 a.m.)--2 1/2 inches of rain total received
(Thurs) overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday (TODAY)-- NO RAIN as of 9:45 p.m.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN..on both the North & East sides of the park EXCEPT the Bill's Woods & New Property Areas. Per our other blog announcement, these areas are closed for upcoming TORO race. Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. While our soil soaked up the rain, due to the cooler temperatures we have experienced, expect puddles in low lying/shaded areas. But the weekend looks fabulous, so enjoy riding with NO dust! Reminder: Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water (from the April rains) has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
The Red River is up some from its normal level. There still remains some lurking murky water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is possible.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Don't be the only one without a RV Rental for this weekend...Remember that RRMT, Inc. now offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend...tomorrow, Saturday October 24 & Sunday October 25 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

If you're planning to get some riding in...this weekend is the time to do so...as RRMT, Inc. will close next Monday, October 26 and be closed thru Sunday, November 1 for a TORO Race. So get your fix of riding in this weekend or you'll be forced to wait several weeks...

HELP KEEP RRMT, INC. & BULCHER, TEXAS CLEAN

Tip For The Day:
HELP PRESERVE WHAT FEW RIDING AREAS US TEXANS ARE STILL LUCKY TO HAVE!

This week in our park staff's preparation for the upcoming Labor Day Holiday Weekend, our park staff has been thoroughly cleaning the park. But what to our dismay did we find, a big mess that a MEMBER & his/her guests left from last weekend. So in light of the long upcoming holiday weekend, let us remind everyone that we need your help in keeping the park clean. We provide FREE trash bags at our park office to everyone. We just ask that you bag your trash and dispose of it in the dumpster outside the main gate.

Whether you are a MEMBER, GUEST, or VISITOR, we need your help in keeping this favorite riding & camping place clean & preserving it for years to come.

Furthermore, remember that fire rings are a convenience that can easily be removed...so cherish that several are provided at many of the campsites. But with that being said, FIRE RINGS ARE FOR CAMPFIRES & NOT YOUR PERSONAL TRASH CAN! Also, when customers leave messes like this, let us remind you that our park staff has to clean it up. This may not mean anything to you, but think of it this way...you like many others enjoy seeing park improvements, but if we have to spend our time instead cleaning up messes every weekend, then that is just that much time that gets taken away that we could be doing other things more useful & productive for the park.

Additionally, we always allow patrons of our park to drag up sticks, tree limbs, etc. that are already down on the ground for campfires. However, this member & his/her guests did that, but left their BIG logs all strung out everywhere. If you decide to drag up stuff for a campfire, please be sure it is compact and not a bonfire that is big & all strung out everywhere.

Every weekend RRMT, Inc. does take note of where all of its customers park...thus, if you leave a mess, you are subject to being barred from RRMT, Inc. as well as other various consequences.

We know that RRMT, Inc. is a favorite of many of its patrons...so help us take care of it!

For now, view what type of mess you should NOT leave at your campsite when departing from RRMT, Inc.

Lastly, as the final thought for the day, we would like to leave you with a picture of what a fire ring should look like...a place for your wood, campfire, etc...not a place to put your trash! For the customers that had this campsite last weekend, kudos!

RRMT, Inc. Staff
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CLOSED RIDING AREAS

If you will refer to a previous blog, we announced that as of Sunday, July 26 we had closed off Bill's Woods & New Property from riding due to ENDURO & TORO Race Prep. During the weekend of August 15 & 16, an individual or individuals took down the tied up fence into the Bill's Woods area and entered the area for riding. We would like to remind everyone that this is UNACCEPTABLE. Please remember that we do reserve the right to close areas off from time to time...so customers to our park must remember that if they have come to a closed off area, they must turn around and go another way. NEVER ARE CUSTOMERS AT OUR PARK TO UNLOCK GATES, TAKE DOWN FENCES, AND/OR CUT FENCE LOCKS OR CHAINS TO GAIN ACCESS TO CLOSED OFF AREAS. It is really important that we have your cooperation in this matter to help us keep people out of these two areas. When people enter these closed areas, problems are just created since the trails are being worked on in there for the upcoming October races we will be having at our park. Please note that we will open these areas back up for riding as soon as these races are over & clean-up in these areas have been conducted.

We appreciate everyone's attention to this matter & please note that those that continue to do this, not abide by the rules, & are caught, you will be subject to being prosecuted and/or barred from the park regardless if you are a member, guest, or visitor.

RRMT, Inc. Staff
ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you haven't checked out our events page lately on our website, you may want to glance at it....we now have more scheduled and confirmed events at the park during the upcoming fall riding season that is quickly approaching. Thus, as a result, there will be some upcoming park closures in the fall due to these races. Please check these dates out so you are "in the know". Furthermore, as a result of the upcoming ENDURO and TORO RACES at the park in the fall, trail preparation is now underway particularly over in the Bill's Woods & New Property areas. As of Sunday, July 26, access to the Bill's Woods & New Property areas has now been closed. These areas will not re-open until sometime in November after preparation as well as enduro/toro race cleanup has been conducted. All other areas at the park are OPEN to general public riding & will not be affected by race preparation.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Sunday...Enjoy your weekend before it's over...

NO rain yesterday. Overnight, we received some light rain drizzle, just enough to create a fine dew of moisture on the ground. (Nothing measurable to report.) There is currently a fine mist falling outside now, but it is beginning to taper off. Cloudy and overcast conditions with a current temperature of 46 degrees is what we can report as of 8:25 a.m. According to the forecast, this gloomy weather is supposed to burn off as we are expecting partly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low to mid 60's today. If you are looking for a comprehensive report on park weather/trail conditions, please refer to Friday's blog.

ENDURO WEEKEND - IS A WEEK AWAY...
* Be sure to get your riding in today as this will be the LAST DAY that RRMT, Inc. is OPEN until we CLOSE tomorrow, Monday, October 12-Sunday, October 18 for an ENDURO. Also, another reminder, if you are a member & desire a Member RV Site for ENDURO WEEKEND, be sure to get your site booked ASAP as sites are booking up.

TIPS FOR YOUR SUNDAY RIDING PLANS...

* Our sandy soil has soaked up a lot of the rain we have received this week, but expect some puddles in low lying/shaded areas. NO DUST!

* All trails are OPEN, EXCEPT for Bill's Woods & the New Property. (These 2 areas are closed due to ENDURO & TORO race prep) For curious minds wanting to know, these areas will open back up in November after both races at RRMT, Inc. are over.

Remember that RRMT, Inc. now offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis.

RRMT, Inc. is OPEN today, Sunday October 11 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome Today! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Finally The Weekend...
Destination: Bulcher, Texas

As a recap from our last blog yesterday, NO rain yesterday, but overnight, it came a down pour, 1 & 1/2 inches of rain was received. We have not received any additional rain thus far today. This afternoon as of 12:40 p.m., we have a current temperature of 48 degrees. The jacket is a MUST today. With temperatures like this, you'd think Bulcher was located in Colorado:-) We will warm up a little today, but not much...only upper 50's expected for high temperatures today. NO sun today...cloudy and overcast. If you've checked out the weekend forecast for Bulcher yet, you better...it sure looks good. Nice weather & high temperatures in the 60's both tomorrow (Saturday) & Sunday.

There's no better time to ride & camp RED RIVER! Stop wasting your weekends riding other places...there really is no comparison...and besides, if you don't get your riding in this weekend, you'll have to wait a couple weeks to ride Bulcher again, as this is the LAST weekend to ride Bulcher before we CLOSE for ENDURO RACE PREPARATION (October 12-October 17) & THE ENDURO ON OCTOBER 18th!

Time to kick off the weekend with your usual Friday comprehensive report...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Saturday (Oct. 3rd) overnight-- three quarters of an inch of rain
*Sunday & Sunday overnight--quarter of an inch of rain
*Monday--Couple sprinkles of rain, but nothing measurable to report
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- 2 tenths of rain
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- 1 & 1/2 inches of rain
* Friday (TODAY)-- NO RAIN as of 12:40 p.m.

* It was a gloomy week at RRMT, Inc.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN..on both the North & East sides of the park EXCEPT the Bill's Woods & New Property Areas. Per our other blog announcement, these areas are closed for upcoming ENDURO & TORO race preparation. Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. With gloomy weather this week, coupled with cooler temperatures and rain, currently we have WET conditions. With NO sun and cool temperatures expected throughout the upcoming weekend, not sure how much drying out we'll be doing. On the bright side, there's NO dust! Reminder: Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water (from the April rains) has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
The Red River is up a little from its normal level.

Start planning your weekend now 'cause...RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend...tomorrow, Saturday October 10 & Sunday October 11 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

Hope everyone enjoys their awesome "fall" weekend!

P.S. ENDURO WEEKEND - ALMOST 1 WEEK AWAY...
* Be sure to get your riding in this weekend as this will be the LAST Weekend that RRMT, Inc. is OPEN until we CLOSE on Monday, October 12-Sunday, October 18 for an ENDURO. Also, another reminder, if you are a member & desire a Member RV Site for ENDURO WEEKEND, be sure to get your site booked ASAP as sites are booking up.

Cheers...

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river.
