Finally Friday...
Time for a Weekend Riding Getaway!



NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 1:45 p.m., we have a current temperature of 75 degrees. It is cloudy today. The sun threatened to come out earlier, but now as just decided it will stay behind the clouds. We are expecting to get a little warmer today, but not by much. Low 80's expected for highs today. Mid-morning we received a rain shower, but it was brief and nothing measurable to report. Just enough to wet the ground & settle the dust. The outlook for this weekend looks pleasant...cooler temperatures (low 70's) expected with sun. The forecast is calling for possible isolated thunderstorms/rain showers for tomorrow, but we'll just have to wait and see. According to the radar, it may miss us. Overall, a pretty nice weekend is ahead us...make your plans to get out and enjoy it!

* NO measurable rain this week to report. The rain this morning helped settle the dust & make riding great for this weekend!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution due to some murky water from the Red River being currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. With all the moisture this winter (snow & rain)...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

NO dust! There may be a few puddles, but don't expect anything significant since the rain shower earlier this morning was very minimal.

Riders to RRMT, Inc. will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

** Please note that as of the winter riding season, our sign project has been put on hold. We will resume crafting and putting up the rest of these signs probably in the spring time frame, when all winter weather is completely over with!

RED RIVER
The Red River is currently at its normal low level. There is some minimal lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Half Way Thru This Week on Wednesday Afternoon...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 2:45 p.m., we have a current temperature of 79 degrees with lots of sunshine. However, it doesn't feel that warm due to the extremely windy conditions we are currently experiencing. Gees, good luck not getting blown over. We've pretty much topped out at our high temperature for the day. We have received NO rain thus far today.

Happy Monday...

Well if you didn't ride this weekend, you missed out. We all enjoyed really nice weather...except for the fact that it was a little on the windy side. NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 11:25 a.m., we have a current temperature of 66 degrees. We currently have sunny skies with some wind, but luckily the wind is not as bad as it was over the weekend. We are anticipating low 70's for highs today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

We are really focused with getting our new park website launched here soon so as a result, there will be no blog poll question this week as the blog poll goes on hiatus and it is unsure when or if it will return because with the new website launch, we are anticipating a new blog to be launched as well. So good things are coming, and as a result, our blog updates may be scarce. While yesterday was a nice day (NO rain), it did turn out to be extremely windy. (Today is looking as though it will be windy as well, but hopefully not as bad.) This morning as of 10:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 62 degrees. We are already enjoying bright sunny skies this morning as we anticipate mid 70's for highs today. It may not feel that warm however due to the wind. We have received NO rain thus far today & are not expecting any. Hello Weekend...We've waited all week long for you!



Well while the skies threatened rain yesterday, it never rained during the day, but waited until overnight. Overnight, we received half of an inch of rain. A nice amount to help settle the dust. As of this morning at 10:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 68 degrees. We are already enjoying sunny skies this morning, as we all get excited about the upcoming weekend. Upper 70's are expected for highs today. The forecast shows that there is a 30% chance of additional rain/thunderstorms possible for later on today, but we'll just have to wait and see. Right now, we're not buying it...it is just too pretty outside. We have received NO rain thus far today.

The forecast for the weekend looks fabulous...NO rain anticipated over the weekend with sunny skies & awesome 70+ temperatures. Sounds perfect for a trail riding & camping weekend!

Without further hesitation, we're ready to kick off the weekend!

Good Thursday Afternoon Folks...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 2:10 p.m., we have a current temperature of 67 degrees. It has been cloudy and overcast all day long and unfortunately it doesn't look like we'll see the sun today, so we're giving up on that. While we have received NO rain thus far today, the skies look as though rain may be in our future. In fact, the forecast is calling for possible thunderstorms later this evening/tonight as well as possibly in the (Fri.) morning as well. In tomorrow's blog, we will update you with any rain totals at that time if applicable.

NEW MEMBER RV PAVILION SITE ADDED TO RENTALS
As for other exciting news...that many of you might not know about yet. A new pavilion (in addition to the ones RRMT, Inc. already had) opened for rent this week at RRMT, Inc. in the Member RV site area. It will be an additional 30 amp & 50 amp site that can now be rented by members. Just completed & just in time for your weekend riding/camping plans!

Be ready to kick off your weekend soon...tomorrow is Friday.

Half Way Thru This Week On Wednesday...Thank goodness!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. Yesterday was a nice day, but a little on the cool side. This morning as of 8:25 a.m., we have a current temperature of 54 degrees. We are already enjoying bright sunny skies this morning as we anticipate awesome temperatures today...upper 70's to 80 today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

It's gonna be a terrific day to be outdoors.

The start of another week...

Yesterday ended up being another gloomy day here in the Red River Valley...rain drizzle all day long on and off amounting to approximately two to three tenths of rain. Overnight, NO rain. This afternoon as of 12:45 p.m., we have a current temperature of 57 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast today (NO sun). The forecast is calling for mid 60's for highs today, but we'll just have to wait and see if we get that warm. We have received NO rain thus far today & are not expecting any today.

Thankfully the forecast looks extremely nice for this week & upcoming weekend. But as always, we'll keep you updated each day on conditions.

Details: There were a total of 23 votes casted in last week's poll. “I still visit Bulcher, but not quite as often” won with 8 votes (34%). “The economy has NOT affected me or my visits at all. I still come & ride the same # of times as I always did” was a close second with 7 votes (30%). There were 6 votes (26%) for "My trips to Bulcher are down approximately 50%." Also, there were 2 votes (8%) for "I have been affected by the economy, but I still make riding Bulcher a regular priority because riding is important to me & something I enjoy doing."And lastly "I am considering selling my recreational vehicles because times are tough right now" received 0 votes.

Well to the rain report that everyone has been anticipating...

Yesterday was just a gloomy 'ole day. It pretty much drizzled/rained all day long, on and off very consistently. It was a very slow rain, which amounted to around three quarters of an inch of rain total for yesterday. Then overnight...more rain. Looking in the gauge early this morning, we can report an additional 1 inch of rain overnight. As of 8:05 a.m., we have a current rain drizzle falling. It is nothing heavy but much like yesterday, just slow & enough to make things messy. And unfortunately the forecast doesn't look much better for today...70% chance of additional precipitation (hence the reason it is drizzling currently). We have a current temperature of 55 degrees with cloudy and overcast conditions. Only upper 50's expected for highs. Expect muddy/slushy riding conditions! Good luck on staying dry today.

Good Saturday Morning...

Well while we didn't receive any rain yesterday, the rain came in last night...quarter inch of rain overnight. This morning as of 8:25 a.m., we had experienced a light rain mist, but it looks as though that has ended now. We have a current temperature of 56 degrees with cloudy/overcast conditions. We are expecting mid 60's for highs today. The forecast is calling for potential thunderstorms today, but we'll just have to wait and see. Not enough to report from the light rain mist this morning, but if we do end up receiving additional rain...we'll try to post with any significant totals.

Well to answer the most popular question of the day & one that we have received a lot today...NO rain last night or thus far today...repeat, NO rain at all! I know that is hard to believe for lots of people since apparently it rained everywhere else, but in Bulcher. But believe it!

As of 4:30 p.m...we have enjoyed sunny (and at times, partly cloudy skies) conditions with temperatures in the mid to upper 70's today.

Next popular question of the day...are we expecting rain this weekend? The forecast for our area is predicting possible thunderstorms this evening/night and tomorrow. As of now...70% chance of rain expected. Now whether that will actually happen...who knows. We will just have to wait and see. Even if it does rain, our park conditions will be okay (unless it comes a flood) because we are very dry here. In fact, we have dusty conditions currently. So a good rain would help settle the dust. We are expecting somewhat cooler temperatures for the weekend (Saturday & Sunday)...low to mid 60's.

Here's to a great weekend...For those venturing out to Bulcher, here's what you can expect this weekend.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution due to some murky water from the Red River being currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. With all the moisture this winter (snow & rain)...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

Since we have not received any rain this week, NO mud or puddles should be anticipated on trails. In fact, it is dusty. If we do end up getting a shower this evening or tomorrow, there could possibly be some mud/standing puddles on trails, but for the most part, if any moisture falls, it will likely be absorbed very quickly by our very dry, sandy soil.

Riders to RRMT, Inc. will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

** Please note that as of the winter riding season, our sign project has been put on hold. We will resume crafting and putting up the rest of these signs probably in the spring time frame, when all winter weather is completely over with!

RED RIVER
The Red River is currently at its normal low level. There is some minimal lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Finally Friday...Time to start your weekend!



NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 10 a.m., we have a current temperature of 61 degrees. With sunny skies we are off to a great start for the weekend. Today is going to be a nice day with low to mid 70's for high temperatures. We have received No rain thus far today. Time to say "goodbye" to the work week & say "hello" weekend...Time to Ride! Time to Ride Bulcher, Texas!

A gorgeous weekend is on the horizon. The question is where will you be riding? Here is your comprehensive report just in time to help you make your weekend riding plans.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* The rain shower mid week helped settle the dust. But is is likely to be a little dusty by this weekend.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution due to some murky water from the Red River being currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. With all the moisture this winter (snow & rain)...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

The rain shower this week was pretty small, so don't expect mud or standing puddles. There will however, be some possible minimal mud/puddles in low lying/shaded areas as always that seem to collect water/mud and take forever to dry out. But these places will be few and far between. Expect great riding conditions for the weekend!

Riders to RRMT, Inc. will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

** Please note that as of the winter riding season, our sign project has been put on hold. We will resume crafting and putting up the rest of these signs probably in the spring time frame, when all winter weather is completely over with!

RED RIVER
The Red River is currently at its normal low level. There is some minimal lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Howdy on Tuesday...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 8:35 a.m., we have a current temperature of 64 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast this morning and very windy. In fact, our area is under a wind advisory from the National Weather Service. Looking at the forecast though, it is saying that we'll see the sun by afternoon and have highs up around 80 degrees. Until then, we'll just have to tolerate the somewhat gloomy conditions. We have received NO rain thus far & are not expecting any today.

If you're one of the lucky ones...then you have today off and you have already kicked off your Easter Holiday Weekend. For those that have to work today...look on the bright side...only a couple more hours and then you'll be starting the weekend later this evening as we head into the official Sat./Sun. Weekend.

As suspected, overnight and early this morning we had a.m. thunderstorms roll thru our area. Those storms brought us a total of a quarter of an inch of rain. As of 9:25 a.m., we have a current temperature of 65 degrees. The skies are a little dark, but they are getting lighter as this is trying to clear off...it just might take thru the morning to do so completely. As of currently, we have received NO additional rain. By afternoon, we are expecting sunny skies & upper 70's for highs today.

After these thunderstorms completely pass thru....it looks as though we are in store for a gorgeous weekend. Sunny skies & temperatures in the 70's as well as 80's expected for the holiday weekend. We are ready to kick off the weekend, hope you are too!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Enjoying another gorgeous day...here in Bulcher!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 2:35 p.m., we have a current temperature of 79 degrees. While we have nice warm temperatures as well as beautiful sunny skies, it is extremely windy today. We have received NO rain thus far today & are not expecting any today.

As many of you are trying to plan your upcoming Easter Holiday Weekends, we have received numerous questions regarding what the weather forecast will be like in the Red River Valley tomorrow thru Sunday. While we will bring you a comprehensive report on park trail/weather conditions, tomorrow, below is a summary of the current anticipated forecast for Bulcher for the next few days:

* P.S. It's the weather...and it's Texas...so you never know...check back tomorrow because forecasts can always change. But as for right now...here's what you can expect:

Friday 4/2's Forecast:
* A.M. Thunderstorms - 40% chance of rain
* Sunny in afternoon
* Highs in the mid to upper 70's

Sat 4/3 Forecast:
* Sunny
* Highs in the mid 70's
* No rain anticipated

Sun 4/4 Forecast:
* Sunny
* Highs in the low 80's
* No rain anticipated

** We know that many people are a bit concerned about the potential threat of thunderstorms predicted for our area for tomorrow. But currently we are very dry at the park. The dust (especially with all this wind) is a flying. Thus, a rain shower will help settle some of the dust....we'll keep everyone posted, particularly in the morning as of we know more about these potential thunderstorms.

Do you have your RV Rental for this weekend? RRMT, Inc. offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis. Reservations are recommended if you desire a particular RV Site. Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well. Please note that in addition to these rental sites, as usual, RRMT, Inc. also offers free other campsites that are always available via first come-first serve for your convenience.

P.S. Don't forget that this weekend is a long holiday weekend...Easter! Thus, we will be OPEN three days (Fri., Sat., & Sun.) so get your RV reservations made ASAP!
