TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday...Hello Weekend!

Well it is the last weekday of most of your spring breaks and if you haven't gotten outdoors yet...What are you waiting for? The time to ride and camp is THIS WEEKEND!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 11:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 62 degrees. It had been cloudy this morning, but finally it looks as though the sun is gradually starting to break thru the clouds. Yesterday was a cooler day and today will be another cooler one...upper 60's expected and we'll possibly top out in low 70's if we're lucky. But get ready because the warm-up is on its way...upper 70's expected for both tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday. We have received NO rain thus far today. Time to kick off the weekend...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 11:15 a.m.

While we received a little over an inch of rain week before last, we didn't get any moisture this past week.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. With sunny skies & warm temperatures this week and the fact that we didn't get much moisture to begin with week before last, we're getting dry again...so dust is probably realistic. There are still a couple of puddles in some of the trails that riders will find that have not completely dried out yet.

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at a low level at this time. ** While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. ** Furthermore, please note that RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

A BURN BAN is in EFFECT for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. NO OPEN pit campfires or OPEN outdoor grilling permitted.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend, tomorrow, Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours. However, starting April 1st...we extend our hours...8 a.m. to 8 p.m....but that doesn't start until April...so get ready for spring/summer hours to start soon next month!

It's the weekend...Enjoy it!
See you soon...
