TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Morning...

Did you miss us...we'll we're back! Let's see...a lot to catch up on. First and foremost, it has been a very chilly week here in the Red River Valley. Most days we haven't even seen the sun and instead it has been cloudy and overcast. Also, another thing people are probably wondering about is if we received any precipitation over the last couple of days....the answer is not surprising....NO. Not a drop of anything and not even a snowflake fell when DFW was getting the sleet/snow shower a couple of nights ago. So it is still very dry in our area. As of this morning as of 8:45 a.m., we actually have sunny skies for a change and are preparing for somewhat of a warm-up for the upcoming weekend. This morning we have a current temperature of 39 degrees...still chilly this morning but we are expecting to get up into the mid-50's today which is definitely warmer than the temperatures we have been having. The weekend looks especially nice with anticipated temperatures in the mid 60's to low 70's and sunny skies. Right now they are calling for windy conditions for the weekend as well, but we'll just have to wait and see. Without further hesitation, let's get this weekend started!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 8:45 a.m.

A very cold past week...but no precipitation (rain or snow).

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Should come as no surprise...NO precipitation received this week.

RED RIVER
With no precipitation received, there has been no changes with the Red River ...it is down and still remains at a very low level. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.
