TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS
Happy Friday...On This Gorgeous Morning!
NO rain overnight. This morning as of 10:30 a.m., we have clear, beautiful sunny skies...oh, how its gonna to be one wonderful day. This weather will put you in the mood for some riding. Thankfully all that fog and cloudy skies from the past week are finally cleared out of here....whoooooa! As of currently, we have a temperature of 59 degrees. And believe it or not, temperatures are supposed to get up into the low 70's today. We have received NO rain thus far today.
While the rest of the country is snowed in...the great thing about Texas is that we have such mild weather...crazy how it changes so dramatically, but awesome at the same time...one of the great reasons RRMT, Inc. is the perfect destination year around!
Thought you might enjoy seeing a picture of snow at RRMT, Inc. Oddly enough, it does happen, but very rarely. This was a couple of years back...so don't worry...no snow today! It's gonna be 70 degrees!
The holidays are next week, so relieve some stress and get out to Bulcher this weekend for some riding. Tomorrow's (Saturday) weather is looking absolutely fabulous (upper 70's anticipated)...weather like this in December is priceless!
Without further hesitation, we're ready to get this weekend started...
RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:
*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:30 a.m.
You would have thought with the crazy weather week we just had, we would have received some moisture...but nope, not a drop. Still very dry, hence the severity of the situation and the fact that a burn ban is in place.
TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Due to no precipitation again this week...still dry and dusty at the park and on all trails.
RED RIVER
No changes with the Red River since it has been so dry, thus the river remains at a very low level. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.
CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.
