TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS
Update as of 1:20 p.m.
Good Friday Afternoon...
Sorry our blog entry is not as early as usual...we actually have been out enjoying this beautiful weather ourselves. NO rain overnight. This morning it was extremely foggy, but for those that came on out and kicked off their weekends early...they made the right choice. The foggy skies of this morning gave way to gorgeous sunny weather today. At the moment, we have a current temperature of 65 degrees and this afternoon, we are actually expecting highs in the low 70's. We have received NO rain thus far today. Without further hesitation, let's get this AWESOME weekend started...
RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:
*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 1:20 p.m.
Should come as no surprise...another week has come and gone without any precipitation...still very dry here. Due to the extremely dry conditions...we are still under a burn ban!
TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Since we have not received any rain in months, dust is to be anticipated.
RED RIVER
Due to NO rain in months...the Red River is at a very low level. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.
CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.
