TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday To You...We All Get to Enjoy A Long Weekend Ahead Due To The Upcoming Labor Day Holiday.

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. This morning as of 7:50 a.m., we already have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today. We anticipate another great day of trail riding today.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--3 Tenths Of Rain
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 7:50 a.m.

So as one can see...its been a pretty dry week except for the rain shower we got yesterday afternoon. And again that rain shower was so badly needed that the park soil just absorbed it right up. We took some pictures after the rain yesterday and you will be able to observe that while you see a little puddle here and there...those puddles will be long gone by today and even this weekend. Mainly one can just observe that the soil looks moist and soaked it right up. The rain shower helped settle the dust and has made riding conditions absolutely PERFECT now!

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Riders may see a puddle here and there as a result of the rain shower yesterday. But by no means do we anticipate muddy conditions...because it is has just been too dry overall for it to be muddy. So all in all, conditions are really great & the rain shower yesterday has helped settle the dust for riders which is awesome!

RED RIVER
Probably sounds like the same 'ole story...but here it goes again...the river is still up and is bank to bank. It actually had receded quite a bit, but now is back up again. So the receding process will be a very slow one. As many of you know, to have the Red River this high especially during the summer months has been highly unusual. But anyways, due to the river being up, there has been even more water pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it meets the Red River.

This picture was taken from the old river campgrounds...instead of looking out at the Red River (which you can see to the left), you can see to the right Mountain Creek where it meets the Red River and as you can tell, there is a quite a bit of water pushed up into there.

CREEK
This will probably sound like the same 'ole story as well...but here it goes again...because a substantial amount of water is pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek as a result of the Red River being bank to bank...it is NOT possible to ride ALL THE WAY in the creek to the river. People will discover that they can ride the majority of the way there in the creek, but once they get down closer to the river, they will have to get out of the creek upon dry land and go the rest of the way if they are desiring to get to the river. It is NOT advisable that people try to ride in the furtherest part of Mountain Creek where it meets the river because of the WATER, MUD, and yes....QUICKSAND...it does exist! Getting stuck is no fun and can ruin a day or weekend or riding. Because the creek is very much rideable in the majority of it, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Here are some pictures of the sand pit area down by the first creek crossing in the old main park area. (These pictures were taken right after the rain yesterday, so they are your most up-to-date park conditions)...ENJOY!

In summary, conditions are not only really good at the park currently, but we are anticipating great conditions throughout the upcoming days for everyone's Labor Day Weekend. We hope you can make it out to Bulcher this weekend...Your Oasis Of Adventure Awaits! See you soon...until then...BYE YA'LL!
