TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's Friday....Happy Weekend & Happy Fall!

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. Currently this morning as of 10:45 a.m., we have sunny clear skies, nice temperatures, and NO rain thus far today. We're off to a good start for the upcoming weekend.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- 1 Tenth of Rain
* Tuesday--Brief Rain Shower, But Not Enough To Measure
overnight--1 Tenth of Rain
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:45 a.m.

As you can see from the rain report above, we did receive a little rain early in the week, which helped settle the dust then, but that rain is long gone by now. So unless we receive some more rain before the weekend, we are experiencing relatively dry conditions at the park.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Per our rain gauge recap above, conditions are DRY at the park...we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails. Dust is to be anticipated.

RED RIVER
It's another week and the Red River is still bank to bank, but yet still receding. Because the river continues to recede, the amount of water that the river has pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek (where it joins the Red River) continues to get smaller and smaller as each week passes. With each passing week, more and more sandbars appear to be out in the river. Enjoy the picture below taken from Rock Bluff looking out across the river.

CREEK
As stated, the amount of water that is being backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the Red River is getting smaller and smaller with each passing day. Each week, more and more riders are now able to ride in the creek all the way to the river by getting up on a small strip of land on the side of the bank of the creek. However, we still must emphasize that there is WATER, MUD, and QUICKSAND in the creek and getting stuck is still very much a possibility...so please use caution when riding in the furtherest part of Mountain Creek down towards the Red River. Nevertheless, for sure, people will discover that they can ride the majority of the way there in the creek, but once they get down closer to the river, they will have to get out of the creek upon dry land and go the rest of the way if they are desiring to get to the river. Because the creek is very much rideable in the majority of it, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

In summary, current conditions at the park are very enjoyable...the weather is nice and we are anticipating another beautiful weekend. We hope you can make it out to Bulcher this weekend to enjoy some of the BEST TRAILS IN TEXAS! See you this weekend!

Here's your final update for the day as of 4 p.m...those at the park today enjoyed GREAT weather & NO rain.

We will be OPEN this weekend both tomorrow, Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please note that this is our last weekend for the park to observe spring/summer hours. Starting October 1, the park will begin observing fall/winter hours which are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

We're Halfway Thru The Week Again..

Overnight we can report that we received a little bit of rain because looking at the ground today, we can tell from the moisture that it rained; however, looking at the rain gauge, it apparently wasn't even enough to measure (maybe 1 tenth of rain)...so again...some more needed moisture to help settle the dust and make riding perfect!

Currently as of noon...we have sunny skies, nice temperatures, and NO rain thus far today. Looks like it is going to be a nice day.

Here's your final update for the day as of 4:25 p.m....NO rain and nice weather today!

Here's your final update for the day as of 6:10 p.m....today was a nice day...sunny skies and believe it or not, we did get a brief rain shower today...but it wasn't much at all...in fact, it wasn't even enough to measure in the rain gauge...but it did help settle the dust somewhat, so it was greatly needed.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday...Another weekend is upon us...time to start thinking about riding!

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. Currently this morning as of 8:25 a.m., we have sunny skies, great temperatures, and NO rain thus far today. Today looks like it is going to be an AWESOME day for some riding!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--4 Tenths of Rain
overnight-- 3 Tenths of Rain
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 8:25 a.m.

Thus, other than the brief rain showers we got in the earlier part of the week, we have had relatively dry conditions this week.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. For the most part, conditions are pretty dry at the park...we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the trails. Dust is to be expected by nature though since we haven't had any rain lately to settle the dust. Enjoy pictures below of current trail conditions.

RED RIVER
It's the same 'ole story...the Red River is still bank to bank, still slowly receding. But since the river is still bank to bank, the river still has a little water pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it joins the Red River.

CREEK
The amount of water that is being backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the Red River is getting smaller and smaller each week. Much like last week, a few riders are now able to ride in the creek all the way to the river by getting up on a small strip of land on the side of the bank of the creek.

In summary, conditions are really nice at the park currently..good trail conditions coupled with this PERFECT Fall Weather...there is no better combination. Not only is riding awesome, but camping out during this time of the year...nothing compares. We are anticipating yet another good weekend for riding if these current weather conditions continue which we are expecting. Thus, Fall has arrived...don't spend another weekend at home, cooped up inside reading this blog wishing you were at the park riding...load up the bike, grab the gear, and head for Bulcher...because Texas Living Here is King! Start your Off-Road Adventure this weekend with everything Bulcher has to offer: breathtaking bluff views, wildlife, and a great feel for a true Texas Ranch complete with oil wells & armadillos...See Ya Around YA'LL!

overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:15 a.m.

Thus as one can see, we have had a little rain this week, but not much. When we received it, it was enough to settle the dust, but since that was early in the week, it is rather dusty again. A brief rain shower before the weekend would help settle the dust again...but who knows if we'll see any rain anytime soon. But as for now, we have pictures to share of the current conditions & what everyone can expect for the upcoming weekend.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. For the most part, conditions are pretty dry at the park...we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the trails. It is a bit dusty though. Enjoy pictures below of current trail conditions.

Here is the dust we were talking about:

RED RIVER
This week...we bring you a new update on the river...while it is still bank to bank, it really has receded over the past couple of weeks. In fact, this week, a few sandbars make their debut for this summer...something we haven't seen in a while. But since the river is still bank to bank, the river still has a little water pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it joins the Red River. Here are the most recent photos of the Red River.

CREEK
This week, there is a smaller amount of water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek as a result of the Red River being bank to bank. In fact, the water level has gone down so much that it appears as though people are riding in the creek and then getting upon a small bank of land (that has actually formed in the creek) that allows them to ride all the way down to the river. While many riders are doing this, it is still advisable that everyone use caution in regards to WATER, MUD, and QUICKSAND in the creek. Getting stuck is still a possibility....which isn't fun.

In summary, conditions are good at the park currently, a little dry & dusty, but nevertheless, good riding. We are anticipating good weather for the upcoming weekend per yesterday and today's nice conditions. So get out of the house and away from the hustle and bustle of city life and get to the country...to take in the great views, wildlife, and to have yourself a REAL WEEKEND.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Tuesday Morning To You...

First and foremost, yesterday (Monday) evening after we posted our final blog for the day, we received a rain shower at the park. It was very brief...in fact, it wasn't even enough to measure in the rain gauge. Upon arriving at the park this morning, we found that we also received some additional rain overnight... 1/2 inch was received. Currently this morning as of 8:15 a.m., there is a slight drizzle outside and the skies are cloudy and overcast. Not for sure if we are in for more rain today or what. But currently it is NOT raining.

Here's your final update for the evening as of 5 p.m....today at the park, we had a mixture of sunny & cloudy skies with NO rain today.
