Hello Spring...Finally!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. Not sure if we officially hit the 80 degree mark yesterday, but if we didn't...then it was close because at one point yesterday we remember looking at the temperature reading in our car & that was early afternoon & it said 78! This morning as of 7:45 a.m., we have a current temperature of 55 degrees. The day is off to a fabulous start. The sun is out & we are well on our way to a great day. Today we should definitely reach 80 degrees. In fact, the forecast is calling for low to mid 80's. So temperature-wise, it will definitely feel like spring...but be prepared, it is going to be windy yet again today. We have received NO rain thus far today and are not expecting any.

Get out & enjoy the day! Time to ride...

Cooler but less windy (thankfully) Sunday...

Well if you rode Bulcher yesterday...hopefully you didn't get blown away. Gees, the wind yesterday was fierce. Today we are enjoying gorgeous sunny skies as of 9:20 a.m, and have a current temperature of 48 degrees. We are expecting a nice day with low to mid 60's for highs. It is windy today, but not as bad as yesterday...so we're looking on the bright side. We have received NO rain thus far today.

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 10 a.m., we have a current temperature of 61 degrees. While it is sunny, oh how it is windy. The dust is flying. Please note that we are currently under a wind advisory for our area. It is going to be a nice day though...upper 60's to low 70 for a high today (however, it is unlikely that it will feel that warm today due to the fierce wind). We have received NO rain thus far today. Get out & enjoy your weekend before it passes you by!

Another Weekend At Last... & oh, how it's gonna be a beauty!



NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 9:45 a.m., we have a current temperature of 49 degrees. Today is going to be the perfect start to a fabulous weekend. We are already enjoying sunny skies early this morning as we get excited about upper 60's to low 70's for highs today. We have received NO rain thus far today and are not expecting any.

The weekend forecast looks AWESOME. Sunny skies & great temperatures expected tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday. (And yes, thankfully NO snow this weekend like last weekend :-) Time to kick off your weekend...get ready, set, GO!

* Other than the light snowfall we enjoyed last weekend, it has pretty much been a dry week... except for those few sprinkles of rain we received on Wednesday.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution because a lot of water from the Red River is currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. With all the moisture this winter (snow & rain)...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

Since the moisture from the snow last weekend is long gone, riders can expect dry trails. The only exception to this would be in particularly low lying/shaded areas on the trails, where riders may find some small puddles. Riders this weekend might also encounter some dust...so be prepared. The only place people should anticipate any possible mud on trails is these few areas that have puddles. Otherwise, the only other mud will be found in the creek, so don't worry.

Riders to RRMT, Inc. will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

** Please note that as of the winter riding season, our sign project has been put on hold. We will resume crafting and putting up the rest of these signs probably in the spring time frame, when all winter weather is completely over with!

RED RIVER
Due to recent moisture from past weeks, the Red River is currently bank to bank. There is actually a lot of lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Rise & Shine...it's Thursday morning!

Well to catch you up to speed on yesterday...while the skies sure looked like it could rain yesterday...and it poured everywhere around us...believe it or not, here in Bulcher we only got a couple of sprinkles...so nothing measurable to report. It's unbelievable that we only got sprinkles...compared to the heavy rain and hail that all the other little towns around us received. NO rain overnight. This morning as of 8 a.m., we have a current temperature of 46 degrees. Much like yesterday, it is cloudy and overcast again today. It's going to be a little cooler...highs only in the low 60's expected today with windy conditions. We do not anticipate any rain and have not received any rain thus far today. Tomorrow we'll kick off the weekend...hope you'll be ready!

Taking a break from the sunshine on Wednesday...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. We've made it half way thru the week & we suppose the beautiful sun decided not to shine today. As of 9:45 a.m., we have a current temperature of 60 degrees while we stare at cloudy/overcast skies. (No fear...the sunshine is supposed to be back tomorrow, thankfully...fingers crossed.) Temperatures in the mid 60's are likely to be our highs today. The forecast is calling for possible afternoon/evening thunderstorms. We'll just have to keep you posted because until we see rain, we do not believe it. We have received NO rain thus far today.

Happy Monday!

Well to catch you up from yesterday...the snow was short-lived. It all melted fairly quickly yesterday with the sunshine we had. NO additional precipitation overnight. This morning as of 10:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 45 degrees. With bright sunny skies, we are well on our way to warmer temperatures today...with great conditions expected and highs in the mid 60's. We have received NO rain thus far today.

It's gonna be a great day for riding.

* Remember: Starting this week, we are back to being CLOSED during the week. (Last week, we were only OPEN because of Spring Break.) If you would like to do some riding this week (Monday-Friday), a member appointment must be obtained thru the park office.

It's only Monday...but never too early to start thinking about your weekend!

Good Sunday Morning...

Well it's the first full day of spring here in the Red River Valley...and we've got snow! To catch you up to speed, late yesterday evening after our last blog at 5 p.m., those on and off snow flurries turned to a constant stream of flakes. How that affected us you might ask...we estimate that we received 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches of snow total. Actually not a whole lot but enough to cover the ground. The ground was actually totally covered late last night, but this morning when we went out to take photos, a lot of it was already gone...aka...some may have melted already and also, the wind today is absolutely horrible...so we wouldn't be surprised if some of it blew away. The strong winds today remind you of the Texas panhandle or Colorado the way they are blowing across the plains.

As of 9:15 a.m....here is where we stand. NO precipitation is falling nor do we expect to receive anymore today. The sun is out and we have a current temperature of 30 degrees. With the bright sun out currently, there will likely be a lot of melting today. The high temperature today is expected to reach 40 degrees. Like we told you about how bad the wind is currently...there is a wind advisory in effect for our area. See details below:

VERY STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS 25 TO 30 MPH... WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. WINDS SHOULD DIMINISH TO BETWEEN 10 AND 20 MPH BY LATER THIS EVENING..

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT... ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. BOATERS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN VENTURING ONTO AREA LAKES. RESIDENTS MAY WISH TO TAKE ACTION TO SECURE TRASH CANS... LAWN FURNITURE... AND OTHER LIGHTWEIGHT OUTDOOR OBJECTS THAT MAY BE BLOWN AROUND IN THE STRONG WINDS.

** Once you get to Bulcher, everyone can enjoy a beautiful scenic snow ride. But please use extreme caution when driving out to Bulcher today. Driving currently is treacherous...we came to work today via FM 373 out of Muenster to Bulcher and as of 8 a.m....below is a picture of what FM 373 looked like:



* And we've heard reports that FM 2382 out of Saint Jo to Bulcher looks just as bad. SO PLEASE, PLEASE USE CAUTION!

Riders to our park today can expect muddy and wet conditions, particularly from all the snow on the ground.

Tips for the day...

* Dress in layers to stay warm

For those of you that wanted an ALL-IN-ONE SPRING BREAK DESTINATION...spring & winter weather both...if you would have stayed long enough...BULCHER, TEXAS was that place. This past week, we enjoyed gorgeous spring like weather...reaching low to mid 70's for highs. Then yesterday and today...we've had the winter weather too...snow! Now you just can't beat that for a spring break vacation!

SUNDAY 3/21 - WE ARE OPEN

Just wanted to get a quick post out there to anyone thinking of venturing out to Bulcher today....despite the wintry weather...we are OPEN today....8 am to 6 pm!

Come for a snow ride today.

Use caution on roadways...driving is treacherous. 4WD vehicles recommended for those coming out to Bulcher as roadways on the majority of nearby roadways (Highway 82, FM 373 & FM 2382) are covered with ice & snow.

Good Saturday Evening...

Well not much has changed since our last post (refer to our earlier post this morning below)...still very cold here. As of 5 p.m., we have a current temperature of 32 degrees. The wind today is fierce and it makes it feel even colder outside. Good luck not getting blown away. We have had snow flurries on and off all day long. (NO additional rain to report.) NO accumulations of course. Overnight, we are expecting snow flurries as well as into tomorrow (Sunday) morning.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution because a lot of water from the Red River is currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Due to the wet winter (snow & rain) we have had this year...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar. Furthermore, with the recent moisture overnight (rain) & the fact that we have had snow flurries on and off all day today - visitors to the park should expect muddy conditions. And it is hard to say how trails will be tomorrow as we all wait to see what type (if any) precipitation falls overnight. We'll have to update you again tomorrow, Sunday, morning.

RED RIVER
Due to all the recent moisture, the Red River is stil bank to bank. There is actually a lot of lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Quick Saturday Update (8:30 a.m.)...Welcome to Spring in Texas...
70+ Degrees one day & snowing the next!

While we will be bringing you a complete and comprehensive report on park trail conditions a little later this morning...wanted to go ahead and get a first post out there for you all that might be checking it this morning.

We did receive some rain overnight...a quarter of an inch. But most importantly, followed by the rain, earlier this morning, we had sleet, but now that sleet is light snow that is falling. While it is nothing significant right now, per the winter weather advisory for our area, the forecast is ultimately predicting possibly up to 3 inches of snow for us here along the Red River. At this time, NO snow accumulations & thus no driving problems on roadways for those venturing out to Bulcher. We are continuing to monitor the weather and right now we have a current temperature of 33 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast and very very cold. With the wind gusts, it feels like 22 degrees outside though. So stay warm! We do have a winter weather advisory in effect for our area as issued by the National Weather Service. Happy Friday...

If you haven't rode this week...you've been missing out! But no fear...get your riding in today before this nice weather is gone.

Here is the low down...NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 9:20 a.m., we have a current temperature of 49 degrees. It is sunny & gorgeous currently as today is off to a perfect start. It is going to be an unbelievable spring day...low to mid 70's for highs today. We have received NO rain thus far today & do not expect any. Today is going to be an absolutely perfect day to ride...a little dusty, but nothing to complain about.

We usually do a comprehensive report on Friday, but this week due to the drastic weather change expected tomorrow, we will wait and bring you the comprehensive report tomorrow. What it boils down to is TODAY IS THE MOST PERFECT DAY TO RIDE...TOMORROW...well it won't be so good to ride Bulcher...or at least, that is what Mr. Weatherman is saying. Tomorrow (or late tonight) a cold front is supposed to roll in. Tomorrow will be a DRASTIC change from today...high expected tomorrow of 45 degrees and with a 70% chance of precipitation (possibly rain to snow pending how cold it actually gets.)

The weather has been phenomenal.

We had NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 10 a.m., much like yesterday, we are off to a chilly start...39 degrees. It's a sunny morning thankfully as we expect to warm up nicely today...upper 60's for high temperatures. We are expecting another exceptionally wonderful spring day. A PERFECT ONE FOR some TRAIL RIDING! We have received NO rain thus far today. You better get your spring break destination plans in soon because while today's weather forecast looks awesome...tomorrow (Friday) will be great as well with expected high temperatures in the low 70's....look out for Saturday...a cold front with possible rain showers are expected to roll in.

If you have a different spring break & would like to come a different week – then an appointment will be required for all other weekday (Mon.-Fri.) riding/camping in the month of March. * Now that you know that we are open, plan on spending your spring break with us! It is never too early to start planning your spring getaway. We also offer 8 110 - 30 amp electrical spots that are located in our old campground area...they are first come, first serve and they cost $10.00 per day/per plug. Happy St. Patrick's Day!



NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 9 a.m., it's chilly! We have a current temperature of 37 degrees. If you are about to venture out to Bulcher this morning, expect foggy conditions. The fog will lift later on this morning, so no worries, but right now, it is pretty thick. We also plan on seeing the sun later on today, but for now, it is cloudy due to the fog. It's gonna be another gorgeous day here in the Red River Valley...low to mid 60's for high temperatures today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

We would argue that the best place to be on St. Patrick's Day is trail riding in Bulcher. See you soon!

Yesterday was a nice day...a great start to the week. The wind ended up getting up a little towards the end of the day, but still a nice day. NO rain overnight. This morning as of 11 a.m., we have a current temperature of 49 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast this morning as we expect today to be much like yesterday...low 60's for highs. The forecast is calling for some possible p.m. rain showers, but until we receive rain...we're not betting on it. We have received NO rain thus far today.

Good Monday Morning...

Oh...yesterday...what a day! If you didn't get outdoors yesterday...you definitely missed out on some phenomenal weather. But hang on...you are in luck...this week is looking equally as nice. As of 9:45 a.m., we have a current temperature of 49 degrees. With pleasant sunny skies, we are expecting a nice day...but not as warm as yesterday....upper 50's to low 60's expected for high temperatures today. We have received NO rain thus far today. It's gonna be a great week for some spring break trail riding....come see us!

As vacation time is well under way for many of you.

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 9:25 a.m., we have a current temperature of 43 degrees. It is a bit on the chilly side this morning, but that won't last long. We have bright sunny skies already this morning as we anticipate upper 60's to low 70's for highs temperatures today. We have not received any rain thus far today and with these beautiful, gorgeous skies we're staring at today...there's not a chance that there will be any rain today. It's gonna be the PERFECT DAY FOR AN OUTDOOR EXCURSION TO BULCHER!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. It's early (9:50 a.m.) and it's already a gorgeous day! At the present moment, we have a current temperature of 55 degrees. It is sunny and an awesome day. A little windy, but thankfully not as bad as yesterday. If you haven't realized what a terrific spring day it is...then you need to pull yourself out of the hole you must be hiding under. We anticipate mid 60's for high temperatures today. We have received NO rain thus far today and do not expect any.

At last...it's finally the Friday of Spring Break for many of you...



NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 2:30 p.m., we have a current temperature of 62 degrees. Despite the nice sunny skies, it feels a lot cooler though due to the severe windy conditions we are experiencing. Please note that our area is under a wind advisory and the winds are gusting very fiercely. The wind advisory is only supposed to be in effect until around 5 p.m. this evening. We are only expecting low 60's for highs today...so we don't expect to get much warmer today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

The weekend forecast for here in the Red River Valley looks absolutely fabulous. If you haven't made your weekend plans yet...don't wait any longer. Some weekend trail riding in Bulcher is the perfect remedy for a long stressful work week in the city.

Without further hesitation, we're starting the weekend...hope you'll come see us & join us!

* Overall, it's been a pretty wet week in Bulcher.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & Madagascar (aka..The New Property) are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution because a lot of water from the Red River is currently backed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. With all the moisture this winter (snow & rain)...a lot of our trail system has been changed, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

While there won't be any dust...you can expect trails to be mostly dry. However, in certain areas particularly low lying and shaded areas...puddles are to be expected. For those of you that are familiar with Rocky Road...we can give you a heads up in advance...it looks like a swamp. But as most of you know...puddles always stand on Rocky Road...so that seems like it is a given any time it rains. But even our four-wheeler made it down Rocky Road...but not without splashing some mud and water on us first. The only place people should anticipate mud on trails is these few areas that have puddles. The only other mud will be found in the creek, so don't worry.

Riders to RRMT, Inc. will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

** Please note that as of the winter riding season, our sign project has been put on hold. We will resume crafting and putting up the rest of these signs probably in the spring time frame, when all winter weather is completely over with!

RED RIVER
Due to all the recent moisture, the Red River is currently bank to bank. There is actually a lot of lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is always a possibility in certain areas in the creek.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Howdy on this Thursday Morning...

Well to catch you up from yesterday...we did end up getting some rain from the thunderstorms, but surprisingly, not very much (thankfully)...only a tenth of an inch total. After the bad weather rolled thru yesterday mid-morning, the sun came out in the afternoon & yesterday turned out to be a nice and actually warm (70 degree) day.

NO rain overnight. This morning as of 7:45 a.m., we have a current temperature of 36 degrees. The sun is already out as we expect another nice day...low to mid 60's for highs today. While it won't be quite as warm as yesterday, it is still going to be gorgeous Texas weather giving us all spring riding fever! We have received NO rain thus far today.

P.S. Our Member RV Rentals are booking up...particularly for various weekends in March. If you have a specific spring date in mind that you will need a RV rental, please get that reservation in as soon as possible in order to assure we can accommodate your request.

Half Way Thru Another Week on this Wednesday...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. The sunshine we were bragging about yesterday...it was out a little earlier this morning just for a little while, but it's long gone now. As of 9:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 57 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast now as the skies look like a dark stormy blue color. At the present moment, we are under a severe thunderstorm watch for our area. Details as issued by the national weather service can be found below. After the potential rain and isolated thunderstorms roll thru here today, we should be able to enjoy clear and sunny conditions the rest of the week & weekend. We are expecting low 70's for highs today and as of yet, we have not received any rain thus far today. We will bring you any rainfall totals (if we indeed receive any today)...tomorrow in our blog.

First and foremost, we never get personal on here...but wanted to address a quick issue to let everyone know..for those of you wondering where the heck the blog has been, here one day, missing the next, then back, then gone again...emails sent to us but no reply...or days later to get a reply...we recently experienced (late last week) a death in our family...Holly's father-in-law (Brandon's dad) and the last couple of days has been a whirlwind of stressful and sad moments that are still ongoing.

Please note that we realize that many of you are planning your spring breaks with us and we are doing our very best to get people called back and reservations made. We are not ignoring anyone. We are a close knit family business & staff. Thus, often times when part of our staff (particularly Holly) is out for an extended period of time, we get behind. We promise we do catch up. So please be patient with us and the tip for the day...and a lesson I learned a long time ago particularly in corporate America..."You never know what the circumstances are surrounding the fact that you haven't heard back from someone in a couple days or why someone is having a bad day." The easiest cop-out is that person has flaked out on you or that they aren't doing their job...but we'll tell you...we love our jobs too much for that to be the case. At the end of the day our love for our family and friends is what carries us along & is a priority in our lives closely followed by our family business.

So thanks for everyone's prayers and if you still have not heard back from us by today...CALL us back or email us back and leave a new message if you still need an appointment, RV rental, have a question, etc. Our park hours of operation have not changed. We will still be open every weekend in March and will be OPEN next week, starting Monday, March 15...and will be OPEN all week long (thru Fri. March 19)...even thru the weekend (Sat. March 20 & Sun. March 21).

Furthermore, if you have not received your member packet yet...and you plan on visiting the park during spring break...tell Holly immediately upon park arrival. She will be sure that you get your packet upon your next visit.

Now onto WEATHER...it may surprise you...
(how much rain we got that is...)

Well let's see...our last blog was on Sunday morning...well Sunday while there was no measurable rainfall to report, we did receive rain mist on and off. Then Monday (yesterday)...was the most depressing day...around 10 am the skies got really dark and the bottom just fell out...it rained, rained and rained. It really didn't clear up until yesterday evening around 5 pm when the sun tried to come out. We'll be the first to tell you...right now things are very sloppy. We got a total of 1 inch and a half of rain. (Pray for some sunshine and warm weather to dry us up!) Today must be the calm after the storm because today's weather is looking nice...which leads up to today...

NO rain overnight. This morning as of 9:15 a.m., we have a current temperature of 56 degrees. We're already enjoying bright sunny skies as we anticipate low 70's for highs today. We have received NO rain thus far today and are not expecting any.

Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well. TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Sunday Morning...

We're back...our apologizes for our brief hiatus on Saturday. While yesterday we didn't have the bright sunny skies we were hoping for...it was a nice day...a little cooler than we expected due to the sun really never coming out, but nevertheless, a nice day with clear conditions and NO rain. Overnight, NO rain. This morning as of 7:30 a.m., we have a current temperature of 53 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast. While it has not started raining here...yet, may be the question as we are expecting rain showers today...it is just a matter of "when they will arrive." Upper 50's for highs today.
