TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday To You...We All Get to Enjoy A Long Weekend Ahead Due To The Upcoming Labor Day Holiday.

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. This morning as of 7:50 a.m., we already have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today. We anticipate another great day of trail riding today.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--3 Tenths Of Rain
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 7:50 a.m.

So as one can see...its been a pretty dry week except for the rain shower we got yesterday afternoon. And again that rain shower was so badly needed that the park soil just absorbed it right up. We took some pictures after the rain yesterday and you will be able to observe that while you see a little puddle here and there...those puddles will be long gone by today and even this weekend. Mainly one can just observe that the soil looks moist and soaked it right up. The rain shower helped settle the dust and has made riding conditions absolutely PERFECT now!

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Riders may see a puddle here and there as a result of the rain shower yesterday. But by no means do we anticipate muddy conditions...because it is has just been too dry overall for it to be muddy. So all in all, conditions are really great & the rain shower yesterday has helped settle the dust for riders which is awesome!

RED RIVER
Probably sounds like the same 'ole story...but here it goes again...the river is still up and is bank to bank. It actually had receded quite a bit, but now is back up again. So the receding process will be a very slow one. As many of you know, to have the Red River this high especially during the summer months has been highly unusual. But anyways, due to the river being up, there has been even more water pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it meets the Red River.

This picture was taken from the old river campgrounds...instead of looking out at the Red River (which you can see to the left), you can see to the right Mountain Creek where it meets the Red River and as you can tell, there is a quite a bit of water pushed up into there.

CREEK
This will probably sound like the same 'ole story as well...but here it goes again...because a substantial amount of water is pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek as a result of the Red River being bank to bank...it is NOT possible to ride ALL THE WAY in the creek to the river. People will discover that they can ride the majority of the way there in the creek, but once they get down closer to the river, they will have to get out of the creek upon dry land and go the rest of the way if they are desiring to get to the river. It is NOT advisable that people try to ride in the furtherest part of Mountain Creek where it meets the river because of the WATER, MUD, and yes....QUICKSAND...it does exist! Getting stuck is no fun and can ruin a day or weekend or riding. Because the creek is very much rideable in the majority of it, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Here are some pictures of the sand pit area down by the first creek crossing in the old main park area. (These pictures were taken right after the rain yesterday, so they are your most up-to-date park conditions)...ENJOY!

In summary, conditions are not only really good at the park currently, but we are anticipating great conditions throughout the upcoming days for everyone's Labor Day Weekend. We hope you can make it out to Bulcher this weekend...Your Oasis Of Adventure Awaits! See you soon...until then...BYE YA'LL!

Here's your final update for the evening as of 8 p.m....another great day today at RRMT, Inc. Sunny skies & NO rain today.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITONS

Good Saturday Morning To You...

Overnight we received NO rain. Currently this morning as of 5 a.m., it is still dark outside but we anticipate another great day today complete with clear, sunny skies, and hopefully that nice cool breeze today again as well. Hope everyone can make it out to Bulcher today for some AWESOME riding.

Just in case anyone was curious how the weather turned out today...here's a final update for you as of 10:25 p.m....today ended up being a nice day...particularly in the afternoon. Around 2 p.m. or so, a rain shower came thru...it was a nice shower that was brief enough that it didn't last long and it didn't amount to enough to even measure in the gauge. It was perfect to help settle the dust and after the rain came thru, riding for the rest of the day was absolutely perfect...nice and cool temperatures for trail riding...unbelievable weather for August in Texas. We anticipate another great day of riding tomorrow...for all of you that missed out today...hope to see you out on the trails tomorrow.

Just a reminder that we will be OPEN today, Saturday, August 25 and tomorrow, Sunday, August 26 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAILS/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's FRIDAY....we are FINALLY on our way to the weekend...

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. This morning as of 7:55 a.m., we already have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today.

Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 7:55 a.m.

While we have had no rain this week thus far, if you remember back, last weekend...last Saturday (August 18) we had 1/2 inch and last Saturday night/early Sunday (August 19), we received 1 tenth of rain. That is all we have had. And that was just enough a week ago to settle the dust. Dust is not as bad currently has it had been prior to the showers last weekend, but without any rain this week, the dust is picking up again. One thing that we have been experiencing the past few days at the park is cool breezes...which have been awesome because even though we have had warm temperatures, these cool winds have helped not make it feel so hot....also, these cool breezes are one early sign that fall weather is on its way hopefully soon...it may not be this weekend...but hopefully by next weekend which is already Labor Day Weekend.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. Puddles on trails are not going to be a problem for you because...those brief rain showers from last week were so badly needed that the RED RIVER soil just asborbed them immediately. So riding should be good...again, possibly some dust, but that is really about it.

RED RIVER
Well August is almost over & still the river is up in comparison to other summer seasons. The Red River is still bank to bank, but again slowly receding. As a result...there is still a fair amount of water that the river is pushing up into the mouth of Mountain Creek.

CREEK
As a result of a fair amount of water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek due to the Red River being bank to bank...it is still NOT possible to ride ALL THE WAY in the creek from the sand pit at the old campgrounds all the way to the river. People will find that they can ride the majority of the way there. But right down at the end of the creek, it is not advisable that you try to ride in because of WATER, MUD, and QUICKSAND. But again, riders will find that they have plenty of area in the creek to ride in overall...making for a fun day of riding. Also, as a result of people being able to ride in the creek...the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access trails on both the North and East sides of the property.

In summary, conditions at RRMT, Inc. in Bulcher are G-R-E-A-T. We are anticipating another upcoming great weekend of weather for trail riding. We hope you can make it out this weekend to enjoy the outdoors & breathtaking views that this facility has to offer. Grab a road map (one that actually has Bulcher on it)...and head on out to the park to start your weekend off the right way.

Here's your final update for the day as of 9:30 p.m....those at the park today enjoyed sunny skies and NO rain.

We will be OPEN this weekend, both tomorrow, Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Morning...

Overnight we received NO rain. Currently as of 7:05 a.m., we have clear skies, the sun is already trying to break thru, and NO rain thus far today. Looks like we are in for a AWESOME day of trail riding and possibly somewhat cooler temperatures (80's and lower 90's....hey, but if you are in Texas in August, this looks great!), which should make for some TERRIFIC trail riding.

P.S. If you are looking for pictures...refer to yesterday (Friday's) blog...ENJOY!

Hope you can make it out to Bulcher today.

We will be OPEN this weekend...both today, Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and tomorrow, Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Just in case you were wondering how the conditions turned out today...here is a final evening update for you as of 8:15 p.m....today the skies ended up being overcast and cloudy. As a result, since the sun tried to come out, but hid behind the clouds most of the day...we all enjoyed really great temperatures...(high 70's and low 80's)...it was absolutely PERFECT! In fact, there was a cool breeze blowing all day today making a lawn chair & the Great Outdoors a perfect combination. On and off this afternoon, we received some brief rain showers that amounted to 1/2 inch of rain total for the day. It was much needed to settle the dust (finally) and has now made riding and camping AWESOME! If you weren't able to make it out to Bulcher today...don't make that same mistake tomorrow...head on out and enjoy some GREAT RIDING & UNBELIEVABLE TEXAS WEATHER...trust us, you'll forget it is even August because it sure doesn't feel like it. Hope to see you out on the trails tomorrow...

TRAILS/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Morning To You...

Lucky For All Our Fellow Blog Readers...today is PHOTO FRIDAY...just in time for everyone to start thinking about their weekend plans.

First and foremost, we received NO rain overnight. This is probably a surprise to most as it seems as though everywhere else including the DFW metroplex received rain, but none at the park.

Currently as of 10:25 a.m. this morning, we have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today. Not only today, but throughout the upcoming weekend, we are anticipating really nice weather with somewhat cooler temperatures (in the 80's and possibly lower 90's). So all in all, we are excited about another great weekend of trail riding in Bulcher.

Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:25 a.m.

This is our second consecutive week of NO rain. There is no doubt that it is dusty, particularly on the trails. Puddles, especially on the trails are minimal if you happen onto any at all. Here's all we found...and as you can tell, it is well on its way to being dried up...

Since we have had no weather changes since August 4th, you are still welcome to refer back to the pictures we posted for that day to use as a guide. But we have included a few more today as well.

Here are some pictures of our trails and what they look like currently...

The Red River is still bank to bank, per the picture below...

It is still slowly receding, but it is a slow process. Since the river is still bank to bank, it still has some water pushed up into the mouth of the creek where it meets the river. Therefore, while the majority of the creek can be ridden in, once you get to this furtherest part of Mountain Creek, you will not be able to ride in it because of the water, mud, and quicksand. So please enjoy riding in the creek, but it is not advisable that you try to ride in this furtherest part of the creek due to the possibility that you will get stuck.

Since you can ride in the creek and since the creek can be crossed in a majority of areas, riders can access the facility's trails on both the North and East sides of the property. All of our trails are OPEN. Again, we are NOT FLOODED. Below, please find four pictures taken of the creek at various points from the property:

In summary, conditions are great for riding at RRMT, Inc. this weekend. We hope Bulcher, Texas is your chosen destination this weekend.

At the end of the day, life just doesn't get any better than this...sitting under a shade tree without the noise of the hustle and bustle of city life. Life moves at a slow pleasant pace here in the country. Everyone says hello & waves. How refreshing...so what are you waiting for?

Get on out to Bulcher to experience Texas country at its finest...its just YOU, YOUR BIKE, and the GREAT OUTDOORS!

Hope you can make it out this weekend to start your ADVENTURE!

Here's your final update for the day as of 4:50 p.m....NO rain today as of now. We enjoyed sunny skies today & nice weather. Hope to see you out on the trails this weekend.

We will be OPEN this weekend...both tomorrow, Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Morning...

This morning we can report that we received NO rain overnight. Currently this morning as of 7:15 a.m., we already have clear skies, and the sun is already beginning to shine and break thru the clouds. We will probably have some warm temperatures at the park today, but other than that, the weather should be nice for riding.

Here's your final update for the day as of 4:25 p.m....another very hot day here in North Texas. As expected... it was hot, sunny, and dry with NO rain today.

Also, just as a reminder to everyone...keep the RSVPs for our 35th Anniversary coming...it is extremely vital that you RSVP...because if you do not, you will not be guaranteed a meal due to food planning purposes...So don't delay...get your RSVP in today...deadline is September 15, 2007!

* Also, an important note...sometimes we are noticing that in the case of this past weekend, we are posting blogs, but they are not being updated on screen in a timely manner...in some case, there is a couple hours delay and in the case of yesterday (Sunday), we posted a blog both in the a.m. and p.m. and it never did update on screen...it took until this morning (Monday) for it to update. So we wanted to let everyone know that if they ever get to this website and they do not see a recent post updated on screen, what they need to do is to look over to the right hand side of the screen (below the words "Blog Archive” and try clicking on the year, such as "2007" currently, or the month, "August" currently...we have found that when a recent post has not been updated on screen, if you click one of these links, even though the recent post was not showing up when you logged onto the website, it will suddenly pop up on screen for you to to read. So just FYI...thus for some of you that are not being able to see our posts...try this method, because we are posting them.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday To Ya....time to seriously start thinking about your weekend plans if you haven't done so already.

Overnight we had NO rain. This morning as of 9:30 a.m., we already have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today. Looks as though today is going to be BEAUTIFUL weather...just a little indication of what we are expecting this weekend....great weather for trail riding in Bulcher.

Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 9:30 a.m.

If you are starting to see a pattern here..you should.....We have extremely DRY conditions! It will be dusty out on the trails! Puddles are pretty much non-existent out on the trails.

We did NOT take any pictures this week because the conditions have not changed since last Saturday, August 4th. So if you want, you can still look back at all the pictures we posted on that day...because those can be used as a guide.

In a nutshell...Red River is still bank to bank, but the water level is slowly receding. As a result of the Red River still being bank to bank, it is still pushing a small amount of water back up into the mouth of the creek. This prevents people from being able to ride in Mountain Creek all the way from the old campground area in the main park area (sand pits) all the way down to the river. You will be able to ride in the creek the majority of the way to the river...but a little before it gets to the river, you will notice a change in the texture of the creek...it starts looking muddy, and this is where the left over QUICKSAND lurks so please do NOT try to ride in the creek all the way to the river...when it starts to get muddy as you get closer to the river, turn around and go another way. Getting stuck in the creek is not fun!

So in light of that report, riding in the majority of the creek is definitely an option with no problem. WE ARE NOT FLOODED... (just wanted to address this since we are still receiving emails and phone calls regarding this issue) The creek can be crossed in many areas in order to access ALL of our trails...they (trails) are all OPEN on both the North and East sides of the property.

In summary, the conditions at Bulcher are dry...in fact a little rain shower would settle the dust and riding would be PERFECT...but all in all, conditions are good.

Here is your final update for the day...we're bringing it to you a little early as of 4:30 p.m. since we are gearing up for the weekend here at the park....but just as predicted today...GREAT sunny weather. NO rain today. Time to start the weekend...

We hope that RRMT, Inc. in Bulcher, Texas is your destination for riding this weekend! We will be OPEN this weekend...both tomorrow, Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAILS/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Morning...Yes, it is officially morning now...even though it is early...just wanted to have this posted as soon as possible for any of you early birds who wanted to get up early and see what conditions were like at RRMT, Inc. in case you wanted to jump in the truck and head out early to get to Bulcher by 8 a.m. when we open.

If you thought we forgot about posting the pictures...WRONG...No Such Luck..it was just super busy yesterday (Friday) so we are just now getting around to posting them...thanks for your patience.

All of these pictures were taken yesterday, Friday August 3....these pictures can be used as a guide for park conditions because we do not anticipate any weather changes....and if there are any weather changes...we will do our best to keep you updated.

Anyways, today was a beautiful day....great weather that we anticipate to continue throughout the weekend....so everyone is in for some good trail riding if you venture out to Bulcher....

Here are the photos from today's weather...sunny, clear skies....

These first two pictures just showcase the nice weather we had today...the first one is from the park office...looking down FM 373...the second picture was taken from the top of the 2nd gate entrance looking across to the Red Bull Barn...which you can see in the distance.

As previously stated...even though we had more rain this past week than last week (which still wasn't much at all)...the terrain is still very much dry and conditions are dusty. Below are pictures of different trails that we took pictures of today. You will not have to worry about puddles out on the trails, just DUST...enjoy!

Per the photos...it is dry out on the trails...the only puddles we did encounter on our ride today...we snapped photos of...here were the two small puddles we rode by...

Next...onto pictures of the creek & Red River...first...pictures of the creek are below. The majority of the creek can be ridden in with no problem. But as you get closer to the Red River in the creek...it becomes very muddy. It is advisable that you stay out of these areas of the creek due to the mud and the high potential of getting stuck. Since you are able to ride in the creek a long way...the creek can be crossed in a variety of places to access ALL trails on the property on both the North and East sides.

Today many enjoyed the sand pit area....this will be a favorite place for riders to enjoy this weekend...

And for those of you wondering about the Red River...it is still bank to bank per the pictures below and is still backing some water up into the mouth of Mountain Creek. But if you look in the first picture, you can see a sandbar starting to form due to all these warm, sunny, dry conditions.

Therefore, per all the pictures...conditions are great & riding should be excellent this weekend...so we hope that many of you can come visit our facility in Bulcher, Texas to experience country atmosphere at its finest....sunflowers, wildlife, the great outdoors, etc....

It doesn't get any better than this...by nature this facility is gorgeous! Hope you can come enjoy what Bulcher, Texas has to offer this weekend.

We will be OPEN this weekend...both today, Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and tomorrow, Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAILS/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's Another Friday...again, time to start thinking about your weekend plans if you haven't already.

First and foremost, we can report that overnight we received NO rain. This morning as of 9:10 a.m., we already have clear, sunny skies, and NO rain thus far today. Again, we will probably have warm temperatures this afternoon, but other than that, looks like we are in for a great day for riding.

Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
late evening/overnight-- 4 tenths total
* Tuesday--2 tenths total
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--4 tenths total
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 9:10 a.m.

Next, we wanted to tell everyone that we are happy to report that we will be riding the park later today and taking pictures for the blog, so keep a watch out for them...we'll have them posted later this evening.

As for the creek & river update...the Red River is still flowing bank to bank...but still receding and as a result, the water that was backed up in the mouth of the creek (where it meets the river) has really receded. At this time, you are able to ride a long way down the creek. But in the creek as you get closer to the mouth of the Red River, it gets muddier so we advise riders to stay out of these areas because of QUICKSAND concerns. The creek would be the only place really where mud would be a concern. But again, the main parts of the creek can definitely be ridden in...and yes, the creek definitely can be crossed to access ALL our trails…on both the North and East sides of the property.

So with all that reported...we really feel that we are in for a great weekend of riding...should be nice weather & great conditions out on the trails. For those of you looking for a place to ride this weekend...head out to Bulcher...we will be open both tomorrow (Saturday, August 4) and Sunday, August 5 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

We'll keep you posted & with your evening update, we'll have pictures for you in order for you to finalize your weekend plans.

As of 11:30 p.m....you are just now getting your evening update...we do apologize, but it was an extremely long day at the park office today...today, we had really great weather…it was warm, but not bad at all...NO rain today...and it was dusty. We anticipate it to be dusty this weekend as well unless we get a little rain shower (which we do not anticipate) to settle the dust. But overall, the weather should be absolutely PERFECT for trail riding this weekend...hope BULCHER is your DESTINATION this weekend.

RRMT, Inc. Staff

Greetings...here is your evening update as of 5:15 p.m....well today's weather ended up turning out to be good as predicted...the sun came out and we had clear skies...we had warm temperatures, but other than that, it turned out to be great weather. We had NO rain today as of currently. Tomorrow morning's post will include a recap of the past week as well as conditions (creek, river, and trail) that can be anticipated for the weekend.

Just as a reminder...we will be OPEN this weekend, both Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

TRAILS/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy August To Everyone...

This month is a very special one to all of us here at RRMT, Inc....it was 35 Years this month that our facility first opened its doors to the recreational community. For all of you that has supported RRMT, Inc. thru the years, to you we are extremely grateful. In light of that, all of you will see that on our home page today we have launched all of our finalized 35th Anniversary Celebration Details. In order to take advantage of the cool, fall weather, we will be observing our anniversary Saturday, September 22, so we hope all of you are already making plans to attend this special event.

Now onto weather/trails...

Overnight, we had NO rain. This morning as of 8:35 a.m., we have cloudy and overcast skies. NO sun in sight as of yet today. With the overcast skies, it looks like it might rain, but it is hard to tell. We'll keep you posted, but as of yet, we have received NO rain thus far today.

Here's everyone's final update for the evening...as of 5:45 p.m., today at the park, we enjoyed nice weather all day long...sunny, clear skies, & warm temperatures. Then in the late evening, a storm popped up producing a total of 4 tenths of rain for the day.
