TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday...We can all officially start thinking about our weekends now...

Overnight we can report that we received NO rain. Currently this morning as of 10:15 a.m., we already have great weather...sunny skies & NO rain thus far today. Today is a great start to the upcoming weekend!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

* Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- 1/2 Inch Of Rain
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--3 Tenths Of Rain
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10:15 a.m.

Thus as one can see, we have had a little rain this week, but not much. When we received it, it was enough to settle the dust, but since that was early in the week, it is rather dusty again. A brief rain shower before the weekend would help settle the dust again...but who knows if we'll see any rain anytime soon. But as for now, we have pictures to share of the current conditions & what everyone can expect for the upcoming weekend.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions....

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN both on the North and East sides of the facility. For the most part, conditions are pretty dry at the park...we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the trails. It is a bit dusty though. Enjoy pictures below of current trail conditions.

Here is the dust we were talking about:

RED RIVER
This week...we bring you a new update on the river...while it is still bank to bank, it really has receded over the past couple of weeks. In fact, this week, a few sandbars make their debut for this summer...something we haven't seen in a while. But since the river is still bank to bank, the river still has a little water pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it joins the Red River. Here are the most recent photos of the Red River.

CREEK
This week, there is a smaller amount of water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek as a result of the Red River being bank to bank. In fact, the water level has gone down so much that it appears as though people are riding in the creek and then getting upon a small bank of land (that has actually formed in the creek) that allows them to ride all the way down to the river. While many riders are doing this, it is still advisable that everyone use caution in regards to WATER, MUD, and QUICKSAND in the creek. Getting stuck is still a possibility....which isn't fun. Nevertheless, for sure, people will discover that they can ride the majority of the way there in the creek, but once they get down closer to the river, they will have to get out of the creek upon dry land and go the rest of the way if they are desiring to get to the river. Because the creek is very much rideable in the majority of it, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

In summary, conditions are good at the park currently, a little dry & dusty, but nevertheless, good riding. We are anticipating good weather for the upcoming weekend per yesterday and today's nice conditions. So get out of the house and away from the hustle and bustle of city life and get to the country...to take in the great views, wildlife, and to have yourself a REAL WEEKEND.
