TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Thanksgiving...
Finally it's Turkey Day!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 7 a.m., we have a current temperature of 36 degrees. While it's chilly right now (we're up early...getting a jump start on this holiday), we are anticipating sunny skies today with temperatures in the low 60's. It's going to be a gorgeous day! We have received NO rain thus far today.

Tomorrow is Black Friday (as many retailers will call it)...the way we look at it is yes, you can get up at 4 a.m. and stand in some very long lines and fight crowds of people to get a few good deals....OR...you could get a good night's sleep without having to wake up at the crack of dawn and come out to Bulcher for a better deal....great weather & great riding tomorrow, Friday. Come on...is there really any debate here?

As far as we are concerned, it's time to kick off the weekend...
Here is your usual comprehensive report coming to you on this Thankful Thursday!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Friday (TODAY)-- NO RAIN as of 7 a.m.

With no rain again this week...we are experiencing very dry conditions here in the Red River Valley...it's been several weeks without any moisture!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN....this includes all trails on both the North & East sides. Bill's Woods & the New Property are both open as well...ENJOY!

Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. Due to the cooler temperatures we have been experiencing, don't be surprised if there are still some (but very few) lingering puddles in low lying/shaded areas on some of the trails. Furthermore, expect dust due to the fact that we haven't received any measurable rainfall in weeks. Reminder: Just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water (from the April rains) has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, riders to the park will now find that RRMT, Inc. has over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at its normal low level. There still remains some lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is possible.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

If you are forced to eat turkey and sit around the house & watch football today...then at least make your plans to get out of the house tomorrow & this weekend. If not, you'll be missing out on some great trail riding.

Please note that while RRMT, Inc. offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis, all of our member RV sites are completely booked up for this weekend (Thanksgiving). We are still taking names on a wait list, in the case of a cancellation. Thanksgiving Weekend...
Trial Program with Required Wrist Bands

Greetings...

Per our previous announcement a couple weeks ago regarding the fact that with the 2010 membership season, RRMT, Inc. will be requiring both its members as well as their guests to wear wristbands....

We wanted to let you know that over the upcoming Thanksgiving Weekend...we will be launching a trial run with testing out this new wristband program. Thus, Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, & Sunday 29th of this weekend, members & their guests will be given wristbands at the park office upon check-in to wear during the three day weekend.

Since technically the 2010 membership season opens the weekend after Thanksgiving (December 5 & 6 when 2010 memberships go on sale to the general public)...The first weekend in December will officially start the requirement of all wristbands for members & their guests. However, it is particularly important and mandatory that members & their guests start wearing their provided wristbands this weekend with the kick-off of the trial program.

Thus, starting with this weekend & going forward, it is especially important that if you would like to use your guest passes for certain individuals, you must be sure to tell us, else they will not receive a wristband & thus proof that they are your guest! With no proof that they are your guests...they will not be entitled to access member facilities along with you!

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

RRMT, Inc. Staff

P.S. A copy of our previous blog regarding this issue has been posted below for your convenience:
_________________________________________________

2010 Changes to RRMT, Inc.'s Membership Program

Beginning with the 2010 Membership Season, RRMT, Inc. Members should note two changes to its current membership program. As usual, upon joining and/or renewing a membership, members will be entitled to a certain number of guest passes per year.

The number of guest passes allotted to each membership package is as follows:

Lone Star Excursion Membership - 10 Guests

Adventurer Membership - 5 Guests

Ranger Membership - 2 Guests

As of the 2010 membership season, when guest passes are used up, no longer will additional guest passes be available for purchase. Thus, those guests coming repeatedly with members will need to join (to obtain weekday riding privileges, member restroom/shower complex access, etc.) if they desire member benefits. Since additional guest passes can no longer be purchased, it is recommended that members use their guest passes wisely.

Coupled with the change regarding guest passes, beginning with the 2010 membership season, on all weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, and designated holidays RRMT, Inc. is open to the general public), all members and their guests will be required to wear wristbands for identification purposes. (Wristbands will not be required on weekdays (Monday-Friday), unless it is a designated holiday RRMT, Inc. is open to the general public.) RRMT, Inc. Staff will issue wristbands upon arrival & check-in at the park office.

Per this announcement, RRMT, Inc. will be updating its Member Handbook for 2010 to reflect these changes.

Thank you for your attention to these important new changes to RRMT, Inc.’s Membership Program.

I RIDE BULCHER, TEXAS CAMPAIGN

Do you like bragging about your favorite riding spot? Others do!

Our iRide Bulcher, Texas campaign has been a huge hit, since its launch on 6/6/2009.

While a new park website is still in the works & we promise is coming to your computer screen soon sometime soon...the new point of interest signs we have installed & will continue to install around the park has increased everyone's interest in our small, quaint community. (FYI...On our future new website we will have a great detail of history regarding this wonderful place we call RRMT, Inc. in Bulcher, Texas.)

We're proud of this place we call home...Bulcher, Texas & hope you are too. You can obtain these great NEW stickers FREE at our park office. A great addition to the vehicle or trailer!

Some people might be asking themselves, why do you go by Bulcher? I don't see a town there now. (In your spare time, if you do some research online you will actually find that data shows Bulcher as a Texas Ghost Town with a population of 6) Why don't you just go by Muenster? Well first of all to get technical here...Muenster is 15 miles away. Many of you don't realize that there are actually closer towns/communities to the park rather than Muenster...Saint Jo is only 10 miles and other communities of Capps Corner & Illinois Bend are even closer. So if that is the case, why don't people call our location Saint Jo, Capps Corner, or Illinois Bend? A true & astonishing fact is that the Taovayas Indian Bridge/Oklahoma is actually closer to us than Muenster. It is only 6.6 miles up the road from our park entrance gate to the Oklahoma state line via the Highway. (If you swim across the river, it's even closer!) Our community of Bulcher has a proud and rich history that we are proud to share with our customers.

Get your FREE iRide Bulcher stickers & tell the world where you ride!

PHASE 4: POINT OF INTEREST TRAIL SIGNS INSTALLED

On Saturday, 11/14/2009, Holly was fortunate to have the help of three RRDR Volunteers helping her with phase 4 sign installation. We were able to get 4 signs up in phase 4 on Saturday with only 4 more signs of phase 4 left to install at another time.

A big thank you goes out to (left to right in picture below):
* RRDR Norman
* RRDR Larry
* RRDR Phillip!

Thank you so very much for taking time out of your busy schedules on Saturday to help Holly with installing signs.

Furthermore, we have had many nice compliments on the new signs from park riders already...thank you! It means a lot!

Hopefully weather permitting, we can get the rest of phase 4 signs installed soon. Thanks for your patience. We'll keep you posted.

RRMT, Inc. Staff
PHASE 3: POINT OF INTEREST TRAIL SIGNS INSTALLED

11/11/2009, marked another monumental day...the third phase of point of interest signs were installed out on the trails today...hence the reason there was no blog on 11/11/2009...thanks for understanding. Phase 3 was a difficult section...as it consisted of signs located on the east side of the property.

Please note that many have wondered what has taken us so long to start installing these signs. Many do not realize how difficult it is to access certain parts of the property. Hence the picture below...not a typical day at the ranch, but it was our day...and a 4 hour detour to getting our equipment turned back over & out of this ravine!

Installing some of these signs is a slow go due to the terrain. And even going slow, many times, we have to spend several hours getting equipment in and out from each point. Thanks for everyone's patience because we are working hard for you!

Thanks to all RRMT, Inc. Staff & volunteers for another successful day installing signs. Also a big thank you to RRDR Steven for volunteering his time to spend with us installing signs so we all can better the park.

So curious minds are probably wondering...what's the stats on this project so far...

Well have approximately 30 point of interest signs up around the park...with probably around 30 more or so to go...so saying we're halfway completed with the sign portion of the project would be fair. We hope to get one more phase (phase 4) installed prior to Thanksgiving weekend (fingers crossed though -- with time & weather permitting). Then it will be back to the drawing board for Holly & Brandon to craft approximately 10 to 15 signs that still need to be handcrafted from scratch. At this point, our main goal is just rolling out the signs that are completely done in phases (aka...sections of the property). Then with the upcoming holidays and renewals, and new memberships going on sale...this project will likely go on a brief hiatus (after phase 4 has been completed) until early 2010...but nevertheless, all of us here at RRMT, Inc. are extremely proud of how this project is turning out & we hope you as our customers check it out...for both entertainment purposes as well as for safety purposes...these signs are awesome. So when riding now...please be cautious of your surroundings and look for these signs in the case you need a reference back to a certain part of the property.

Lastly this blog wouldn't be complete without Holly sending a big thank you out to three people:

* RRDR Volunteer Phillip...he has been a huge advisor to Holly & her go-to regarding various questions about park point of interest signs. Phillip has also been an integral part of the preparation phase of this project...helping Holly plan all the points out, etc. Thank you Phillip!

* Holly's husband Brandon...thanks so much for standing behind Holly on this project. At times...it's been rough...Holly's rough work schedule with lots of long hours on weekdays & weekends...countless hours staining, painting, cutting, prepping signs...we're almost there...hang in there...you're awesome & we couldn't do it without you!

* And last but not least...Lewis...our equipment guru & person who oversees all park maintenance & construction...there is no way we could do any of this without you. At the end of the day...you keep us all up and running. You're the best & we appreciate you!

* And lastly, there have been so many others that Holly has talked to about this project in passing...so a big thank you to all of you...it would take us 4E to name all of you. This project has meant so much to Holly, especially, & seeing it all finally come together for the good of the park & its customers, is an unbelievable feeling that can't even be described.

And finally...thanks to all our customers. Each & every individual riding at our park day in and day out...you provide the meaning & reason why we love our jobs so dearly!

From our ranch to yours...

RRMT, Inc. Staff
ANOTHER...POINT OF INTEREST TRAIL SIGNS UPDATE

11/10/2009, marked another monumental day...the second phase of point of interest signs were installed out on the trails today...hence the reason there was no blog on 11/9/2009...thanks for understanding. The signs are turning out so great...ENJOY!

With great weather & these new additions to the park...you need to be sure riding RED RIVER is on your agenda for this weekend!

We are still working on additional signs with phase three (of signs) to be installed tomorrow, 11/11/09. We'll keep you posted.

RRMT, Inc. Staff
POINT OF INTEREST TRAIL SIGNS UPDATE

11/6/2009, marked a monumental day...the first phase of point of interest signs were installed out on the trails. There are a lot more signs to go up and they will go up in phases, but it will take some time. Luckily today the weather was absolutely perfect....we couldn't have asked for better weather for this project.

We hope everyone will appreciate the new signs that will be out on the trails. Each sign is handcrafted so we would ask people to take care and respect them. We would ask that if you see someone defacing, vandalizing, or trying to steal the signs to please try to stop that person & then immediately report that person or individuals to the park office. These signs are a huge asset to the park and our trail system. Especially for people unfamiliar with the park or still trying to figure out their way around the trails...these new signs will help provide a point of reference out on the trails.

While Holly has been a huge champion & part of this project from the get-go, a huge thank you also goes out to so many others...all the RRMT, Inc. Staff, volunteers, & close family who have worked on the signs as well as several of the Red River Dirt Riders who have been our go-to people on advice on names, etc....without you all, none of this would be possible. THANK YOU!

We look forward to hearing everyone's feedback on these new additions to the park. We take all feedback regarding our trail system very seriously, so if you have ideas for the park, the trails, etc...send them our way.

Enjoy a preview of some of the new signs and more to come....

Please note that RRMT, Inc. rents its RV sites on a daily basis, so if you book an RV site for a certain # of days, but end up wanting to extend the # of days of your rental, you may or may not get to stay in your particular RV site depending on if that site has already been reserved in advance by another member. If other RV sites are available, you may have to move to another site if you want to be accommodated for more days.

When taking reservations, if you don’t specify a particular RV electrical site, RRMT, Inc. will assign you a site according to the desired amps (30 or 50) you indicate that you need. Members are responsible for leaving their RV sites clean. If you rent an RV site that is not clean upon your arrival when you assume the space, the park office should be notified immediately!

If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel within 24 hours, no charges will be assessed. If you fail to cancel within 24 hours in advance, you will be billed ½ the price of the RV electrical site (according to amps) for the # of days that was originally rented. (Example… if only 1 day was rented for a 30 amp site ($20.00/2), then $10.00 will be charged to your member account & you will be responsible for paying that balance before visiting the park again.) For those members who make reservations and fail to cancel and also fail to show, those members will be billed full price for the RV electrical site (according to amps) for the # of days that was originally rented. (Example… if only 1 day was rented for a 30 amp site, then $20.00 will be charged to your member account & you will be responsible for paying that balance before visiting the park again.) Our cancellation policy is necessary to ensure that those members renting our sites are serious about their rentals and if they are not, it allows us enough notice to be able to rent it out to other members wanting the space, or else retrieve money for the hassle of dealing with late cancelations and/or no shows.

PROBLEMS WITH WEEKDAY RIDING - MEMBERS ONLY

As you know, with your 2009 new membership or renewal, every member got a letter concerning previous problems RRMT, Inc. has been having with weekday riding. For a mid-year update, we would like to applaud our members...for about 95% of weekday riding members, the envelopes for weekday riding have gotten a lot better. The envelopes are being filled out with names, member id #s, etc. So kudos to you all! Keep up the good work. However, with that 5%, we are still having some big problems that need to be addressed. So in light of that, we would like to take the time to address some of these problems...

1) On your weekday riding envelopes, a few members are still not listing their guests on their envelopes. (Do not let your guests do a separate envelope. They should be listed on your envelope with you - the member!) If you let your guest fill out a separate envelope, our job gets harder trying to figure out which member's account that guest is supposed to be attached to.

2) If two or more members and at least one guest come to the park on a weekday and complete an envelope--please take the time to indicate to us on the envelope which member's account that guest should be assigned to. If you don't--we randomly assign the guest(s) to one of the member(s) accounts.

3) You CANNOT make a weekday park appointment and let your guests come & ride on your membership without you being present! NO EXCEPTIONS. HENCE, THIS IS ONE OF THE BIG PRIVILEGS OF MEMBERSHIP! If you have guests wanting to come on a weekday, they either need to come with you, the member, or if that member can't come, the guests should either not come at all, or at least one of those guests need to join to become a member, so they earn the privilege to come on a weekday.

4) Lastly, we are still getting those occasional weekday envelopes with money inside from people and then absolutely no information filled out on the envelopes, no names, no member id#s, etc. Please label all information correctly and thoroughly...remember, if your envelope is not even identifiable, we don't have to give you credit (frequent rider points) for your visit. So please remember to complete the envelopes.

MEMBER ID CARDS & PACKETS - PRESENT & FUTURE

As previously announced earlier this year, if RRMT, Inc. does not recognize you immediately as a member upon check-in, you will be required to show your RRMT, Inc. member ID card as well as possibly additional forms of identification. Lately, when this has occurred, suddenly there are some members that claim to not have a member id card. Please note, whether you renew or are a new member for 2009, everyone receives a membership packet for each year. These are mailed out or given to you at the park (if you happen to be at the park when your packet has been completed). These packets are important because they contain your park account information, new cards for new members, renewal receipts & renewal stickers for renewed members, as well as member rules & information. Whether people are misplacing their cards & claiming to not know the rules because they claim they never got their member packets, all remains to be a mystery. But this excuse is becoming all too common. As a result, effective January 1, 2010, all renewing members & all new members for 2010, will have to pick up their renewal and or new member packets at the park office once they join for 2010. We will no longer be mailing (snail mail) them out as a result of people using the excuse that they never received their packets. Furthermore, due to upward rising postage stamps, this will also help benefit the park and put your membership dollars to better use rather than spending them on postage costs. Please note that effective 1/1/2010, the only mailed correspondence to members will be birthday postcards and membership renewal reminder postcards. Thus, if you join for 2010, once we process your membership renewal or new application for the new year, we will file your membership packet and it will be your responsibility to come pick it up and ask for it during a park visit.

Thanks for everyone's attention to these important matters. 2009 has been a great year. If you are already curious about what 2010 holds and are wanting to go ahead and renew for 2010, renewal reminders for 2010 will go out in late fall, with registration to open in early November for existing members to renew for 2010.

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Thanksgiving Eve...

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 12:55 p.m., we have a current temperature of 63 degrees. We have sunny skies and breezy winds this afternoon, but nevertheless, it is a really nice day. We are anticipating topping out in the mid to upper 60's for high temperatures today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

The forecast looks equally as nice for the rest of the week & weekend. If you haven't made your holiday plans yet...time is running out. There is nothing like an old-fashioned Thanksgiving holiday...riding, camping, cooking out, & being outdoors with friends & family. During the holidays, life can be stressful....everyone knows what we mean...all the hype about having the house clean & spotless for in-laws, having relatives you barely ever talk to over for your "annual once a year" dinner (with everything imaginable just waiting to go wrong), cooking (aka...burning) the turkey, blah blah blah...and the list goes on. Why put yourself thru that again this year?

This year should be different...face it, you need to get away. And there's no better place to get away to than Bulcher, Texas! RRMT, Inc. is the best place to be for the type of holiday you secretly wanted this year! Come on, admit it! . . . See ya soon.

Registration is now open for current 2009 members to renew their memberships for 2010. You can mail your stuff in or bring it with you to the park office on your next visit. If you will be visiting during the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, upon check-in at the park office, we can provide you with renewal paperwork to complete if you need any help with finalizing needed park documentation.

NO BURN BAN for Cooke County or thus at RRMT, Inc.

Just remember, no matter when you want to start your holiday...RRMT, Inc. is ready to be your Thanksgiving holiday destination! RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN three days for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend...Friday, November 27, Saturday, November 28, & Sunday, November 29 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. all three days. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome Friday, Saturday, & Sunday!

If you are member & desire earlier park access (Today "Wednesday" or tomorrow, Thanksgiving "Thursday"), please make an appointment for an earlier arrival time/date with RRMT, Inc. Staff. Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

Here's wishing everyone has a joyous holiday & safe travels during this busy week & weekend!

TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday...
It's the last weekend before Thanksgiving rolls around next Thursday!
Have you caught the holiday riding/camping fever yet?

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 8 a.m., we have a current temperature of 55 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast this morning. The forecast is calling for highs in the upper 50's today and possible rain showers. But until we see rain, we won't believe it. We have received NO rain thus far today. The forecast for the weekend looks fantastic both days...sunny skies and temps in the 60's on both Saturday and Sunday. It's time to kick off the weekend...have a great one!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Friday (TODAY)-- NO RAIN as of 8 a.m.

Another dry week here in the Red River Valley...

Due to the cooler temperatures we have been experiencing, don't be surprised if there are still some lingering puddles in low lying/shaded areas on some of the trails.

While it doesn't look as though we'll get phase 4 signs completely installed prior to Thanksgiving weekend, riders to the park now will find that we do have over 30 new point of interest signs installed out on the trails. These are a great new addition to the park & we are very proud of them! These signs will help you catch the iRide Bulcher, Texas fever as you continue to learn about the various unique parts of the RRMT, Inc. Facility!

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at its normal level.

It's the weekend before Thanksgiving...everyone is starting to get in that festive holiday mood that this time of the year brings. While your "to-do" list is probably a mile long around the house, yes all those things can wait for another couple of days....it's gonna be a great weekend to ride!

Do you have your RV Rental for this weekend? RRMT, Inc. offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis. Reservations are recommended if you desire a particular RV Site. Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well.

We do & you should too! As of 6/6/09, we kick off our iRide Bulcher, Texas campaign!

Another installment of the iRide Bulcher campaign that people can look forward to will be the launch of our new website... coming soon. On our new website we will have a great detail of history regarding this wonderful place we call RRMT, Inc. in Bulcher, Texas.

Until then...get your FREE iRide Bulcher stickers & tell the world where you ride!
