TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 10 a.m., we have a current temperature of 90 degrees. It is bright and sunny out this morning and getting hot fast. Upper 90's expected & we may very easily hit the 100 degree mark, which wouldn't surprise anyone here. We have received NO rain thus far today. If you haven't already kicked off the weekend yet, what are you waiting for? Time for our usual Friday comprehensive report, just in time for the holiday weekend.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Sunday night & Monday - 1 inch & a half of rain
*Monday overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 10 a.m.

* Other than the rain at the first part of the week, it's been dry. The moisture from earlier in the week is long gone by now.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN...on both the North (Bill's Woods) & East (Pete's Gate) sides of the park. Mountain Creek is back to its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. All trails are dry & dust is to be expected. Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
With all this hot weather, the Red River is receding fast. There still remains some lurking murky water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, preventing riders from riding all the way down Mountain Creek to the River.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Riding in the creek is at your own risk. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!
