TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Hello Weekend...

Yesterday we enjoyed warm temperatures...temperatures topping out in the low 70's, but it didn't feel that warm due to the extreme wind. NO rain.

Overnight, NO rain. Currently this morning as of 9:20 a.m., we have clear, sunny skies, and temperatures already in the upper 50's. We are expecting temperatures to get up into the low 70's again today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

The Outlook on the Weekend Looks Fabulous! If you haven't already made your weekend outdoor plans, you better...because if not, you'll regret spending another weekend indoors when you could be outside enjoying this AWESOME Texas weather!

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 9:20 a.m.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions...

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility. (Except Bill's Woods & the New Property still remain closed at this time.) Another dry week in Bulcher...so dust should be expected. Furthermore, as a result of our dry conditions, we do not anticipate riders seeing any puddles or mud out on the actual trails.

RED RIVER
Yes, the same 'ole story with the river...The Red River is bank to bank in some places, but then very narrow in other places (but for the most part, the river has really gone down), which has allowed the water to be split which has created various sandbars. The amount of water that the river has pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek (where it joins the Red River) has now pretty much receded (since we've been so dry). But even due to our dry conditions, always be on the lookout for that occasional unexpected area of quicksand that lurks in the creek...you need always be careful to avoid any quicksand because getting stuck is always a possibility even when you least expect it.

CREEK
The amount of water being pushed up into Mountain Creek is extremely minimal at this time. Riders will find that they can ride in the creek the entire way to the river currently. Similarly, since riders can ride in the creek the entire way to the river, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

BURN BAN
Just as an update...Yes, we are still currently under a BURN BAN. The burn ban still remains in effect for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. While camping is permitted, RRMT, Inc. is strictly enforcing the burn ban & thus NO OUTDOOR FIRES are permitted under any circumstances!

Final update for the evening as of 6:40 p.m....beautiful day in Bulcher today...a great start to the weekend...warm temperatures and NO rain.

Today is the last day of February and March is just around the corner...if you've ever got spring fever, you should have it this weekend...the weather forecast for the weekend looks GORGEOUS and there is no better way to spend your weekend...DESTINATION ~ Bulcher, Texas!
