TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Evening To All Our Fellow Blog Readers Out There...

Sorry we are bringing you our blog so late this evening...but today was absolutely gorgeous and we decided to spend it outdoors because we knew that this extraordinary 70 degree January weather would be short-lived.

NO rain overnight. Those at the park enjoyed unbelievable weather again today...sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70's. We received NO rain today. At the current moment...8:30 p.m., we have a current temperatures of 51 degrees and it's starting to really cool down and also become quite windy outside. We are anticipating a cold front to roll in this evening as we expect temperatures much colder tomorrow...highs in the upper 40's with tomorrow being the coldest day of the weekend and then Sunday the forecast looking better...with low to mid 50's anticipated for Sunday. The weekend is officially underway...so here we go...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 8:30 p.m.

We sound like a broken record playing the same 'ole song each week...but still NO rain again this week...extremely dry riding conditions here!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Dust is to be anticipated.

RED RIVER
Another week and still no rain...thus the Red River remains at a low level. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Please note that due to extremely dry conditions...a BURN BAN is now in EFFECT for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. NO open pit campfires or open outdoor grilling permitted.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend, tomorrow, Saturday, January 24 and Sunday January 25 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is now observing fall/winter park hours.

Whatever your weekend plans are...have a great one!
Cheers...

RRMT, Inc. Staff

P.S. Since we are bringing you today's blog so late this evening...there will NOT be a blog tomorrow, Saturday, but our blog will return on Sunday morning.
