TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday...

We apologize for our 2 day hiatus...most people that read our blog are probably wondering where the heck did RRMT,Inc. go? And the answer is...OUTSIDE. Yesterday and today...absolutely gorgeous days! Unbelievable weather for January that we just decided to enjoy the fantastic weather ourselves...we let the 'ole computer have a break. Anyways, we are back!

NO Rain yesterday, overnight or thus far today....that should come as no surprise. Today we have enjoyed sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 70's. Yesterday was equally as nice. The reason that we decided to enjoy the weather is because tomorrow is suppose to be on the cooler side (high 40's) and windy. Then Sunday is suppose to be back to somewhat normal...sunny and upper 50's anticipated.

Without further hesitation, let's get the weekend started.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- Few sprinkles of rain, but nothing measurable to report
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 5:30 p.m.

Again, no measurable precipitation to report this week. Thus, due to the extremely dry conditions...we are still under a burn ban!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Since we have not received any rain in months, dust is to be anticipated.

RED RIVER
Due to NO rain in recent months...the Red River remains at a low level. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.
