TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

It's Labor Day Weekend...
Time To Enjoy Friends, Family, & The Great Outdoors!

For your convenience...RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN three days to accommodate your riding & camping plans over the long holiday weekend. We will be OPEN tomorrow, Saturday September 5, Sunday September 6 & Monday September 7 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. all three days. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is still observing spring/summer park hours. Fall/winter hours do not become effective until October 1, 2009.

Yesterday we did end up getting a few sprinkles of rain...just enough to wet the ground, but not enough to give you a measurement from the rain gauge. NO rain overnight. This morning as of 11:50 a.m., we have a current temperature of 79 degrees. There is no sun today as it is cloudy and overcast. The skies look like we might even get some additional moisture today, but we'll just have to wait and see. Highs only in the mid-80's today...so even without the sun, it is going to be one nice day! We have received NO rain thus far today. It's the weekend...time to check out how riding & camping conditions are going to be for this fabulous upcoming holiday weekend....

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
*Monday overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- Brief rain shower, but not enough to measure
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 11:50 a.m.

* Other than a brief rain shower yesterday here in the Red River Valley...it's still been very dry here.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN..on both the North & East sides of the park EXCEPT the Bill's Woods & New Property Areas. Per our other blog announcement, these areas are closed for upcoming ENDURO & TORO race preparation. Mountain Creek is back to its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. Dust is to be anticipated since we haven't received any measurable rainfall in weeks. Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at a low at this time. There still remains some lurking murky water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is possible.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Riding in the creek is at your own risk. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

We have a Labor Day Special on ATV T-Shirts this weekend that you won't want to miss out on. The prices of our remaining ATV T-Shirts are low in order to sell out of these t-shirts so we can make room for new park inventory. These t-shirts are 1 t-shirt for $6.00 or 2 t-shirts for $10.00. Help us sell out of these t-shirts so we can get new park merchandise! We also have park caps for sale...they are $8.00 each. Our ATV T-Shirts & caps are on sale at these new prices until we sell out!

Today (Friday, September 4th) is the big day...the GRAND OPENING of our new Member RV Sites. There is no better weekend to have opening day. Even though it is already Friday, believe it or not, it's still not too late to rent a site for Labor Day Weekend. We still have a couple left...don't wait too long to reserve one, or they will be gone! Call or email us to reserve one now! Please note that in addition to these rental sites, as usual, RRMT, Inc. also offers free other campsites that are always available via first come-first serve for your convenience.

NO BURN BAN for Cooke County or thus at RRMT, Inc.

The forecast is calling for mid to upper 80's for high temperatures throughout the entire weekend & Monday. There is no better weekend for an outdoor retreat...after all, you owe it to yourself! See you on the trails in Bulcher soon...

Wishing you a fantastic Labor Day Weekend!
