This afternoon as of 12:45 p.m. we have beautiful sunny skies & a current temperature of 76 degrees. Finally some sunshine...it's shaping up to be a great day. We are expecting temperatures in the upper 70's for highs today. We have received NO rain thus far today. If you are looking for a great weekend to get outdoors & do some trail riding...it looks as though this weekend will be perfect...with sunny skies & temperatures in the upper 70's to 80's for the weekend, don't waste another minute inside this weekend or you'll be missing out! Time to kick off the weekend...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Thursday (Sept 10) thru Saturday (Sept 12) -- Total of 3 inches of rain received
* Sunday (Sept 13) overnight--1 inch of rain
*Monday--rain drizzle, but nothing measurable to report
*Monday overnight-- rain drizzle, but nothing measurable to report
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--rain drizzle, but nothing measurable to report
overnight—rain drizzle, but nothing measurable to report
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 12:45 p.m.

* Well this week has been strange...not a whole lot of moisture to report, just really gloomy, cloudy/overcast, & rain drizzle...until today. Thankfully today, the weather decided to straighten up just in time for the weekend...

The actual last measurable rainfall received at RRMT, Inc. was almost a week ago...On Sunday (Sept 13), we received 1 inch of rain. This week coupled with the gloomy days, it just drizzled rain a lot...again, nothing measurable to report.

**Thus, we have been getting reports that the DFW area and other North Texas areas have received a lot of rain this week...well, we did not here in Bulcher. To answer many emails, phone calls, etc...we are NOT FLOODED! Mountain Creek is just fine & is passable & thus, you can ride in it! NO PROBLEMS WITH TRAIL RIDING AT OUR FACILITY DUE TO WEATHER THIS PAST WEEK...It's gonna be a great weekend!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN..on both the North & East sides of the park EXCEPT the Bill's Woods & New Property Areas. Per our other blog announcement, these areas are closed for upcoming ENDURO & TORO race preparation. Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. The cooler temperatures this week coupled with the rain drizzle received was just perfect to help settle the dust...at least for a little while. On some trails in low lying/shaded areas, you may discover a puddle or two (making it muddy on the trails in these areas), but for the most part, all trails will be fairly dry, especially with today's sun & this weekend's sunny forecast. (The majority of the mud, per say, will be in the creek & not necessarily on the trails...but please note that there are going to be some muddy areas on the trails due to these low lying/shaded areas that haven't had time to start drying out until today's sun.) Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water (from the April rains) has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at a low at this time. There still remains some lurking murky water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is possible.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

It's gonna be a perfect weekend for a RV rental...Remember that RRMT, Inc. now offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis. Reservations are recommended if you desire a particular RV Site. Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well. Please note that in addition to these rental sites, as usual, RRMT, Inc. also offers free other campsites that are always available via first come-first serve for your convenience.

NO BURN BAN for Cooke County or thus at RRMT, Inc.

The time to get ready for the weekend is NOW...RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend...tomorrow, Saturday September 19 & Sunday September 20 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing spring/summer park hours. Reminder: RRMT, Inc. will begin its fall/winter hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting October 1, 2009.

* Stop saying you are going to ride & never do...

This weekend is perfect for that "weekend trail riding" getaway that you & your family have been desperately needing...

Until tomorrow, signing off from our post Bulcher...
