TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday!

Well it has been a GORGEOUS week. Yesterday was another sunny warm day...NO rain. Overnight we received NO rain. This morning we awoke to cloudy overcast skies which just haven't seemed to burn off as of yet today. NO sun today. We are enjoying temperatures in the low 50's today and there is some wind. We have received NO rain thus far today. It's time to get ready for another weekend...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight--NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 12:20 p.m.

Here's your usual comprehensive Friday report on detailed park conditions...

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility. (Except Bill's Woods & the New Property still remain closed at this time.) Another dry week here on the home front again...Our trails are dry; however, it is very possible to find some trails that contain mud puddles, especially in shaded areas. For the most part, dust is not too bad.

RED RIVER
Well due to the rain received last week...the river is bank to bank and there is no sandbar. As a result, be on the lookout for water that has been pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek where it meets the Red River. Especially with the last week's rains, particularly in the creek, you must be on the lookout for unexpected areas of quicksand that lurks in the creek...you need always be careful to avoid any quicksand because getting stuck is always a possibility.

CREEK
The amount of water being pushed up into Mountain Creek has risen due to the rains last week but is nothing substantial at this time. Riders will find that they can ride in the majority of the creek with no problems, but be especially careful when riding in the creek down towards the mouth of the river...quicksand lurks due to the rains last week and getting stuck is a possibility and NO fun. But since riders can ride in the majority of the creek, thus the creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Temperatures look nice for the weekend. The forecast is calling for at least a 20% chance of rain everyday of the upcoming weekend, but we haven't seen any yet and until it actually falls, we're not counting on it. Hope you can make it out to Bulcher this weekend...Your ADVENTURE AWAITS!

We are OPEN this weekend, both tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 with hours of operation each day of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend!

Happy Trails,
