TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Afternoon...

Wow what a difference a day makes...cooler weather than yesterday. NO rain yesterday or overnight. This afternoon as of 12:45 p.m., we have a current temperature of 49 degrees. It is cloudy and overcast today...haven't seen the sun and really aren't anticipating to today either. We were supposed to get into the mid-50's today, but we'll be doing good, if we even make it into the low 50's by day end. We have received NO rain thus far today. While today is kinda gloomy, luckily the upcoming weekend forecast looks bright...nice temperatures and sunny skies anticipated for both Saturday and Sunday. And without further hesitation, we're ready to get the weekend started.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 12:45 p.m.

Another week without moisture...comes as no surprise to most.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. With no moisture in weeks, we do have dust. It is to be expected. So don't worry about expecting any mud puddles out on the trails.

RED RIVER
The Red River remains at a low level at this time. ** While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. ** Furthermore, please note that RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out! The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Please note that due to extremely dry conditions...a BURN BAN is in EFFECT for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. NO open pit campfires or open outdoor grilling permitted.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend, tomorrow, Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is now observing fall/winter park hours.

The weekend's here...Enjoy it!
