TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Welcome Back....
We've Missed You After Being On A Hiatus For The Past Week And A Half!

The weekend is upon us & we can't wait...hope you can't either...let's get it started!

NO rain overnight. This morning as of 9:30 a.m., we have a current temperature of 58 degrees. It is cloudy this morning, but the skies are light, so maybe that sun will break thru after all sometime today. According to the forecast, today is going to be a very nice day...temperatures expected in the low 70's today. We have received NO rain thus far today.

The upcoming weekend looks very nice as well...sunny skies and temperatures anticipated in the upper 50's to low 60's on both Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be a beautiful Valentine's Day Weekend....get out of the house and enjoy it!

Well we finally got a little moisture this past week....thankfully. However, it was so much needed that our soil just soaked it up. Due to such dry conditions, that moisture is long gone by now.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. The recent moisture this week helped settle the dust earlier in the week, but without any further moisture, there'll be dust this weekend.

RED RIVER
While we did get some moisture this week...it was very minimal considering the dry conditions in the area. Thus the river still remains at a low level at this time. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Please note that due to extremely dry conditions...a BURN BAN is now in EFFECT for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. NO open pit campfires or open outdoor grilling permitted.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend, tomorrow, Saturday February 14 and Sunday February 15 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is now observing fall/winter park hours.
