TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Morning Snow Flurries...

For those of you curious...snow flurries blew in late last night and early this morning. It has stopped now and in all honesty, it really didn't amount to anything at all. (i.e...the ground is not covered, only some trees coated with snow) Just neat to see pretty flakes flying around outside...especially strange to witness something like this so late for March. All roads are clear with no problems reported. This morning as of 9 a.m., we have a current temperature of 33 degrees. It is cloudy, cold, and very windy today. Overnight in addition to the snow flurries, we received almost another 1/2 inch of rain. If you are looking for a comprehensive report on park trail/weather conditions, please refer to yesterday's (Friday's) blog.

For those not wanting to get out of the house and brave the cold today...there's always tomorrow...in Texas, just wait a little while and the weather will change...no jokes, but tomorrow they are calling for temperatures back in the mid 60's...oh, the unpredictability of Texas weather!

Please note that the BURN BAN has now been lifted for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. However, extreme caution is advised due to windy conditions.

Despite the cold, RRMT, Inc. is OPEN this weekend, today, Saturday March 28 and tomorrow, Sunday March 29 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours. However, starting April 1st...we extend our hours...8 a.m. to 8 p.m....but that doesn't start until April...so get ready for spring/summer hours to start soon next month!

Stay warm...
