TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Hello Friday...Finally The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend At Last!

NO rain yesterday or overnight. This morning as of 9 a.m., we are already enjoying a fabulous current temperature of 75 degrees with bright sunny skies. It is going to be another really great day...low to mid 80's expected for highs. We have received NO rain thus far today. This week has been a great one...it's been sunny and nice every day...there's no better way to get the weekend started...here is your comprehensive Friday report.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 9 a.m.

* NO rain this week in the Red River Valley & luckily with lots of sunny days this week, our creek area especially has been able to dry out even more. The last rainfall we received at our park was over a week ago on Friday night, May 15 & at that time, we received 4 tenths of rain.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN...on both the North (Bill's Woods) & East (Pete's Gate) sides of the park. For the most part, Mountain Creek is now down to its usual level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River. In most spots, crossing Mountain Creek is possible, but we advise everyone to still use caution as the terrain is especially different down in the creek due to the heavy rainfall we received in April. All trails are dry, except for those occasional puddles riders will see in shaded areas and on trails that hold water for some reason...i.e...Rocky Road. Riders should also anticipate dust for their weekend ride. Due to big rains a little less than a month ago though, we are still advising people of the following: Just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
Red River still remains extremely high at this time & bank to bank. NO sandbar. As a result of the unusually high level of the river, a lot of water from the river has been pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek, preventing riders from riding all the way down Mountain Creek to the River.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Riding in the creek is at your own risk. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!
