TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Good Friday Evening All...

Our apologies that this blog is later than usual. But as a result, since we are bringing you this blog so late, there won't be a blog for tomorrow (Sat.), but look for the blog to return on Sunday. No additional rain received thankfully. Today was a gorgeous day...awesome weather. If you weren't outside enjoying the weather today, you missed out! The forecast for tomorrow (Sat.) & Sunday looks awesome...sunny skies with temperatures in the low 70's. The weather is going to be great so you don't have any excuses...get out & ride this weekend. Enjoy your weekend comprehensive outlook report...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday--NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday (DAY & NIGHT)THRU Thursday (9:30 a.m.)--2 1/2 inches of rain total received
(Thurs) overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday (TODAY)-- NO RAIN as of 9:45 p.m.

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN..on both the North & East sides of the park EXCEPT the Bill's Woods & New Property Areas. Per our other blog announcement, these areas are closed for upcoming TORO race. Mountain Creek is at its normal level, except down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution. No problem crossing Mountain Creek at this time. While our soil soaked up the rain, due to the cooler temperatures we have experienced, expect puddles in low lying/shaded areas. But the weekend looks fabulous, so enjoy riding with NO dust! Reminder: Due to heavy rains back in April, just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. Water (from the April rains) has really changed a lot of our trail system, so we advise everyone to use extreme caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

RED RIVER
The Red River is up some from its normal level. There still remains some lurking murky water being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is possible.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!

Don't be the only one without a RV Rental for this weekend...Remember that RRMT, Inc. now offers Member RV Site Rentals on a daily basis. Reservations are recommended if you desire a particular RV Site. Otherwise, all walk-up RV Site rentals are welcome as well. Please note that in addition to these rental sites, as usual, RRMT, Inc. also offers free other campsites that are always available via first come-first serve for your convenience.

NO BURN BAN for Cooke County or thus at RRMT, Inc.

RRMT, Inc. will be OPEN this weekend...tomorrow, Saturday October 24 & Sunday October 25 with park operation hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All Members, Guests, and Visitors Welcome This Weekend! Please note: RRMT, Inc. is currently observing fall/winter park hours.

If you're planning to get some riding in...this weekend is the time to do so...as RRMT, Inc. will close next Monday, October 26 and be closed thru Sunday, November 1 for a TORO Race. So get your fix of riding in this weekend or you'll be forced to wait several weeks...

Have a great weekend!
