TRAIL/WEATHER CONDITIONS

Happy Friday!

Hope Everyone Had A Very Merry Christmas!

We took a break yesterday from our blog in observation of Christmas, but we are back this morning...just in time for the upcoming weekend!

Wish You Were Here? Why wait, the upcoming weekend looks fabulous for December...upper 60's...perfect! YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE!

NO rain/precipitation overnight. This morning as of 9:30 a.m., we have cloudy overcast skies with a temperature of 68 degrees. Don't know if we will see the sun today, but regardless, we are expecting unbelievable temperatures today...upper 70's! Despite it being windy today, the weather is awesome for a day outdoors! We have received NO rain/precipitation thus far today.

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN GAUGE RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our daily blogs from the week:

*Monday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Tuesday-- NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Wednesday--NO RAIN
overnight—NO RAIN
* Thursday-- NO RAIN
overnight-- NO RAIN
* Friday-- NO RAIN as of 9:30 a.m.

Another dry week in Bulcher. The forecast is calling for a small percentage of rain this weekend, but until we see it, we're not betting on it. Due to the extremely dry conditions...we are still under a burn ban!

TRAILS
All of our trails are OPEN on both the North and East sides of the facility, including Bill's Woods & Pete's Gate. Due to no rain in weeks (a.k.a. months), expect dust.

RED RIVER
Red River still remains at a very low level at this time. While you may ride in our creek area, be on the lookout for creeping amounts of quicksand towards the end of Mountain Creek as you can sink your recreational vehicle if not careful. The only place where mud/quicksand will possibly be an issue is in the creek and NOT on trails.

CREEK
Creek riding is not a problem as Mountain Creek is at a low level. The creek is crossable in a number of areas so riders may easily access the trails on both the North and East sides of the facility.

Please note that 2009 RRMT, Inc. Memberships are now on sale! Feel free to mail in your application for 2009 to our park office or just bring it to the park office on your next trip to RRMT, Inc. Please note that due to extremely dry conditions...a BURN BAN is now in EFFECT for Cooke County and thus at RRMT, Inc. No open pit campfires or open outdoor grilling permitted. Furthermore, due to the severity of the situation, for those of you that are planning your Christmas and New Year's vacations at RRMT, Inc., NO fireworks will be permitted during the holidays due to the burn ban.
