TRIBUTE TO ALL THINGS RED BULL LMS 2005, 2006, & 2007

Instead of the normal trail/weather updates this week, we thought all of our fellow blog readers would enjoy something a little different. So if you are expecting weather, you won't be getting it...we apologize. This will be an extra long post and as a result, weather and trail conditions will resume as usual on Thursday, December 11th. At that time, we will recap the entire week. If you have an appointment this week & want to know the weather/conditions, just call our park office.

We received numerous emails back in September when Red Bull announced on their website that they would be taking a break this year. The announcement on their website was as follows:

"Red Bull Last Man Standing will take a break this year. We will continue to look for new locations throughout the US in our quest to create the most demanding and entertaining event for the motorcycling public. Fast forward a few months later until today...

Well for many of you....you know what today is....1 year exactly since the 2007 Red Bull LMS Race in Bulcher! Apparently there were several people that took notice of the significance of the date.

Throughout last week and the weekend, we received several emails from people commenting on the absence of Red Bull LMS this year. One of the such emails came from a person who wrote in from out of state and just said that they had been to all 3 Red Bull LMS races and that this year, they didn't have their annual trip to Texas for Red Bull...they extremely missed it, because it was just different this year without LMS.

Another such person wrote in thanking RRMT, Inc. for hosting the past 3 Red Bull LMS events and wished that somehow the event could continue. This person from within the state commented that it had already become a tradition with their two boys to bring them to the event each year, even though they had only made it to the 2006 & 2007 races, missing the first inaugural event in 2005.

Thanks for the memories from those that wrote in. It was actually really surprising to receive the emails and it is most gratifying to know that Bulcher, Texas, the place we proudly call home, has created so many memories for people near and far. Furthermore, it's an awesome feeling to know that the terrain/LMS event here at RRMT, Inc. has been touted as one of the toughest races in the world...when compared to Hell's Gate & Erzberg, that's incredible!

Thanks to all the people....Red Bull North America, the Red River Dirt Riders, and countless volunteers and organizers who made the 2005, 2006, and 2007 Red Bull LMS races possible. It truly created a lot of memories for people that attended and for everyone here at RRMT, Inc.

We continue to get questions...is Red Bull LMS coming back? Or will there ever be another Red Bull LMS held somewhere else? All great questions, but none that we have answers to. We all will just to have wait and see.

In the meantime, during this joyous holiday season, we all should be thankful for the great memories that this awesome event has created in our lives and the lives of others. Some of these memories will last a lifetime. With that, we have put together our tribute of Red Bull LMS 2005, 2006, & 2007. Enjoy your journey of the past 3 years' races via our picture tribute by race year.
